Dr Colvin was extremely helpful during a difficult time in my life. She was able to help identify several of my cognitive distortions and provide advice and techniques to help overcome them. I wish we had not moved, otherwise I would still be seeing her to continue developing and strengthening strategies to overcome my coping mechanisms.
She was very comforting. On the first visit she made it clear that anxiety over addressing a problem was perfectly normal, & that she was there to help alleviate some of the pressure. Every meeting ends w/ a list of "assignments" to work on, making it easier to organize other things as well.
