Dr. Harris is also skilled in working with clients who have chronic illnesses, such as gastrointestinal disorders and chronic migraines, and helping these individuals understand and manage the relationship between their stress, lifestyle, and symptoms.
Dr. Harris practices from an integrative approach, creating a safe environment and collaborating with clients to promote awareness of one’s thoughts and feelings, honor difficult emotional states, identify problematic beliefs, and facilitate the process of altering one’s relationship with those beliefs. During the therapeutic process, she helps clients tell their story and create meaning from their experiences. Dr. Harris is a member of the Illinois Psychological Association and is credentialed as a National Register Health Service Psychologist.
