10/10 great experience. The office staff was very nice, friendly, chatty and the dr was…unremarkable in a good way? in the way that having a boring medical history is good. very clear and direct, personable but professional. i walked out of there psyched excited for my next eye exam.

Dr. Hsiao has a kind demeanor and easy to speak with. She made me aware of some of the more intense moments of the tests before I experienced them so I was prepared. She was thorough with the lens comparisons, yet still moved through them efficiently and made it go by at a comfortable pace.

Super attentive and professional, explained everything before I did it. Also 10/10 covid safety and sanitization standards. I definitely recommend her for anyone in Cambridge or Boston, i live in Revere and had no issues. There’s a parking garage 5 min walk away from the practice.

Dr. Hsiao was pleasant, funny, and knowledgeable. This was my first time meeting her, and I couldn't have been happier. She took a few minutes to get to know me before diving into the appointment which was a pleasant and fun way to begin. She listened to all of my questions, gave back excellent information, advised me on some issues I was having regarding dry eyes, and made sure to explain everything we were doing in detail so I always knew what we were doing. I love when doctors do this - it's a chance to learn as well as be a patient. I was in and out of my appointment quickly, though it never felt rushed at all. If anything, I felt like I was visiting with a friend when suddenly the time was up! Highly recommend Dr. Hsiao for anything in the Boston-Cambridge area looking for a new eye doctor.

I really enjoyed my visit to Eye Q Optical with Dr. Yen. I was seen right away, everyone was super friendly, and Dr. Yen gave me lots of helpful information about my eyes along with some tips to fix some eye dryness I'd been experiencing from my contact lenses. I'll definitely be back!
