Dr. Jennifer Lyman received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Bio-psychology from Cornell University in 1993, before entering medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Lyman completed her Residency in OB/GYN at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 2001. She is board certified by the American Board of Gynecology and Obstetrics and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has a special interest in urogynecology (bladder problems), electronic medical record technology and minimally invasive/laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Lyman is now married with three children and personally enjoys cooking, travelling and reading.

There was a long wait. My visit with her was very quick and felt some what rushed. I was really concerned with why I needed the appointment, but she seemed not as concerned as I was. I disliked the long wait, but quick visit with the doctor.

Wait time once I arrived in the exam room was a bit long, but I couldn't have been happier with every single one of the staff I encountered. Excellent attitudes all around and great bedside manner by Dr. Lyman. She is very knowledgable and gave genuine, educated advice. I felt comfortable and like my health was in good hands immediately. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Lyman is the best doctor I've ever seen. In addition to being informative and professional, she made me feel comfortable roght away and her bedside manner is fantastic. Even though I'm 29, I had never been to a gynecologist before today because I'm not sexually active. I was a little nervous about the appointment, but Dr. Lyman quickly eased my nerves by taking the time to explain what she would be doing during the exam and showing me the instruments she would be using. The exam was a breeze. I thought it might be painful or uncomfortable, but it was neither. The whole experience was extremely pleasant.

They run a tight ship here, which is necessary for as many clients as seem to go in and out. It's a bit difficult to find, or at least my gps took me in the wrong direction. Dr. Lyman was quick, informative, and took get care. Definitely highly recommend this place!

Dr. Lyman sat down and talked to me in an unhurried way before i was actually examined. I did not have to change into a gown until after we spoke. It was obvious that she really cared about what I had to say. I never felt like i was on the clock. Her personality is bright and caring.

I was very nervous before going to my appointment for the first time, but Doctor Lyman was great! I have no idea why I was so nervous in the first place. I've never had a doctor be so thorough and helpful. She also is very funny and makes you feel very comfortable.

Everyone at the office was lovely - very pleasant experience overall. I'd read about the long wait time so I came prepared with reading material, but I would put the wait time closer to 1.5 hrs vs. 1 hr. Come prepared with cash to pay the parking garage.

Dr Lyman is great, she's got a great personality and listened to me before I got undressed. It felt comfortable talking to her and she has a sense of humor. FYI: There is a $4 cash only parking garage at this building (Premier Care for Women).

Dr. Lyman is awesome, can't recommend her enough. She is friendly and fun, she spent a lot of time with me making sure I felt comfortable and explained in great detail every question I had for her. By far the best OB-GYN visit I have ever experienced.

Loved Dr. Lyman! She seems like a wonderful doctor and I look forward to visiting her for years to come. However, the wait time could be better. She explained that she had just returned from vacation and that she had a lot of appointments piled up, so I hope next time is better!

I'm so grateful that I found this practice and Dr. Lyman. I've been to this practice about 6 times in the last 2 months for issues and every doctor I've encountered has been awesome. Dr. Reddy and Dr. Aqua are also awesome. What I love about Dr. Lyman is that she actually sits down and takes the time to listen and answer questions. She spent about 30 minutes with me each time talking and answering questions. Highly recommend!

Although there was a schedule mix up using this feature with the office, I can say the great staff worked me right in. No complaints! DR. Layman is very lively and professional. She accessed my overall health and referred me to one of the best General surgeons with Northside.

First time I saw Dr. Lyman, there was an emergency surgery and I had over a two hour wait. Every appointment since then, I've had a very little wait. It's an OBGYN office things happen. Dr. Lyman is wonderful and I am so glad I waited it out. She and her staff are so wonderful and extremely warm and professional! I am so happy I found her on ZocDoc!! I highly recommend Dr. Lyman! She was well worth the wait!!
