Jennifer Murphy, RD, LDN, IFNCP specializes in integrative and functional nutrition. Jen became interested in a career in nutrition as a way to combine her love of food and her belief in the healing properties of food. One of her main goals is to help people use nourishment and daily movement to enjoy good health in ways that are meaningful to them. She has spent more than twelve years working with clients to help them achieve their health goals using a whole-person approach paired with evidence-based nutrition.
Jen began her career in the hospital setting and as an oncology dietitian. As an oncology dietitian, she was able to take her client's beliefs and feelings about food and empower them to view food as a healing aspect of their treatment, an aspect that they could control. While working as an oncology dietitian she became focused on disease prevention through nutrition and lifestyle changes. After her time as an oncology dietitian, she turned her attention to the important role of the gut in overall health and wellness as well as its role in preventing chronic disease. She obtained her Certification in Integrative and Functional Nutrition in 2018 to continue helping her clients heal from gut-related issues and other core imbalances in order to optimize wellness.
In her current work, Jen encourages her clients to examine their relationship with food and guides them to find more joy in nourishment and healing with whole foods. She is an empathetic and knowledgeable educator, skilled at working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Jen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Framingham State University. She received her Certification in Integrative and Function Nutrition from the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy.
