I love taking the pressure off of eating well. It truly amazes me how the smallest changes to diet, activity, and the way we think about food, can have huge, long-lasting effects on our health.
I look at my work with patients as a collaboration. Eating well is not a one-size-fits-all solution, it takes a patient open to change, and a practitioner willing to listen.
For my patients, I provide not only a guide, who can teach the knowledge for diet change, but also someone who can hold you accountable, cheer you through your successes, and uplift you when you feel the struggles that come with change.
I will help you sort fact from fiction in an era where there's a lot of misinformation out there, especially on the internet, and I will help you feel healthier, better, and more confident, about yourself, and the food choices you make.
Jennifer received her Masters in Nutrition Education from Columbia University, Teachers College. She is a registered dietitian (RD) and, as part of her ongoing education to maintain her RD certification, has received certifications in both adult and pediatric weight management through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration. Her experience ranges from adult and pediatric nutrition, to weight management, nutrition and infectious disease, and medical nutrition therapy for a variety of chronic diseases in a variety of exceptional settings, including Mount Sinai Hospital, the Hospital for Special Surgery, and NY Department of Health. She holds active member status with both the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Nutrition.

I've worked with Jennifer for several years to control my weight and increase my level of fitness. She gives me (a middle-aged male with all the usual challenges) specific advice that plays in my head each time I write out a grocery list, and always makes it clear to me why I should or shouldn't include a given item in my diet. It's wonderful to have a dietitian who listens carefully to my concerns, and responds in plain English.
Jennifer also worked with my teenage son during a time when he needed some dietary guidance, and did him a world of good.
