I think Dr.Shea is a very good Doctor, she listens and understands what a patient is going threw. She don't try to just put you on medication to solve a problem. She try's to see if one really exists or what is actually going on!!! The office staff is very friendly. Office is very clean. I like this doctors office.

Dr. Shea was exceptional. Actually listened to my health history, and the history of my family, as it related to health issues. If any, very little "fluff" in her consultation. It was refreshing not to hear any badgering about my current, or past health choices. I appreciated that.

Dr Jennifer Shea is a non-invasive cardiologist, board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Echocardiography. A lifelong Virginian, Dr Shea obtained her Bachelors of Science, Biology, cum laude from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA and her Masters of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. She then attended Medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and then went on to do her Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at George Washington University, where she also served as the Chief Cardiology fellow.
Dr Shea has received level 3 training in echocardiography, including 3-D and hand held echo, and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Shea has a keen interest in medical education and is involved in teaching medical students and residents at Virginia Hospital Center and Fairfax hospital. She has been appointed Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University.
She has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at national meetings. She is a member of several professional societies such as Medical Society of Virginia, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and American College of Cardiology.
Dr Shea has a special interest in preventive cardiology, valvular diseases and heart failure. Her genuine concern for her patients and astute clinical skills, have earned her the respect of her colleagues in a very short period of time.

Dr. Shea was knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns. She was very nice and put me at ease throughout the appointment. Will definitely be following up with her in the future and would highly recommend her and her office. The office staff were very polite and informative as well.

Dr. Shea is excellent. I had put off seeing a doctor for almost a decade because I was too anxious about it. However, when I went in for my appointment, Dr. Shea's demeanor immediately put me at ease, and she patiently addressed all of my concerns. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Shea became my cardiologist when I was admitted to the hospital for the first time with atrial fibrillation. She has been wonderful-personable, caring, and always knowledgeable & communicative. She has collaborated with my eye doctor to find the best possible medications given my other medical issues. She seems to have the perfect balance of addressing medical concerns well while keeping in mind my age (88) and other medical issues.
