Dr. Sorrell was incredibly warm and professional during my annual skin screening appointment. She answered my questions about some of my concerns and provided helpful information about sunscreen use. I so appreciated that she took her time during the exam to ensure that each mole was checked and monitored. Highly recommend!

Jennifer Sorrell, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who enjoys treating all members of the family.
Dr. Sorrell went to the University of Maryland College Park for her bachelors degree and then went to Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA for her medical degree. She then completed her pediatrics residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL during which she discovered her interest in dermatology. She spent two years doing a clinical research fellowship and then completed her dermatology residency also at Northwestern, serving as the VA chief resident in her final year.
After residency, she completed a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Columbia University in New York, where she honed her expertise in pediatric skin care. She then moved to California and worked for Stanford University’s Department of Dermatology prior to coming to CSI.
Dr. Sorrell is married and has one son, Luke and a mini labradoodle, Ginger. She loves pilates, yoga and most recently, SoulCycle. She has a special interest in acne and ethnic skin care needs. She enjoys providing patient skin care education and loves to discuss skin care products.

Dr.Sorrel and her team were perfect and exactly what the comments suggested! She asked many questions and gave me the floor to speak, but when she figured out how to move forward she went through every step, allowed me to ask questions, and voice every concern. She did not rush me although she talks very fast ha! Excited to be working with her to get my skin in order! I have full trust in her. For appointments, if booking last min, If you don’t hear from her team the day before be sure to reach out. Mine was a last min zocdoc booking and I don’t think it was brought over in time - which is completely understandable. Her team called and let me know and we rescheduled. Great experience through and through!

The doctor came in with someone else. The other person wasn’t introduced. I went in for a full body examination and had a couple of other questions, but the examination was done and the doctor was out. I wasn’t able to ask about my specific questions. The appointment was quick.

Dr. Sorrell was great, as was her assistant Jamie. Skin check was quick and easy, and she answered all my questions about acne. I've been to a bunch of dermatologists whom I felt barely examined me and didn't really listen to my questions about changing medications etc. Dr. Sorrell was a wonderful departure from that.
