Dr. Vickers completed both her undergraduate and medical degrees with University of Texas schools before moving to New York City to complete her residency and fellowship training. She returned to Austin in 2014 to join the faculty in the department of dermatology at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin where she taught resident physicians and medical students for several years.
Dr. Vickers sees every patient as an opportunity to improve a life, whether she is treating a baby with a rash, providing a skin check for skin cancer, or performing a cosmetic procedure. In every aspect of her practice, she strives to ensure that her patients feel comfortable, well-cared for, and an integral part of their own care.
She treats all ages from pediatric to geriatric patients, and her services include general dermatology consultations, cosmetic dermatology consultations, biopsies, and minor surgeries such as skin cancer and cyst removal. She also treats rashes, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and autoimmune conditions that affect the skin. She is most enthusiastic about her relationships with her patients.

I was nervous to have a skin cancer screening, but Dr. Vickers and her nurses made me feel so comfortable. I was able to get a same day appt which is so nice when you’re stressing over a mole. She took her time with me and worked quickly but was thorough. She listened to my concerns and made me feel so much better! I couldn’t recommend her enough. Also, this was my first time scheduling an appt on zocdoc. I called to double check the appt and I had no problems!

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Vickers and it was a delightful visit! I came to see her for my acne and she provided me with multiple options for how to handle the situation and she took the time to really explain each option to me. All of the staff was very friendly. Really disappointing. Dr. Vickers rushed the consultation and I did not feel like my concerns were properly heard. Met for maybe 3 minutes and told to return in 3 weeks. I won’t be returning, instead I will seek out an office where the doctors care to help their patients.

Dr. Vickers is kind, knowledgable, and answered all of my questions. The only thing is that the evaluation felt rushed. As someone where this is my first dermatology appointment, I did not know what to expect. I didn't think that another nurse was going to do the evaluation and that most of the evaluation also had to be filled out on paper, in the waiting room before I even saw someone. It would have been nice to have a more human touch, because I was already pretty nervous and was not sure what "issues" to bring up, since I was going for more of a preventative appointment. Otherwise, when I did get to meet Dr. Vickers, she was great. Gentle, understanding, knowledgable, and clearly helped answer my questions. She knows her stuff and that was reassuring!

Dr. Vickers is very thorough and explained all my options for my treatment. Her staff is really friendly and knowledgeable.
My husband saw Dr. Vickers after being treated for months prior by another dermatologist. He saw Dr. Vickers twice and everything cleared up by the second visit. ????????
