About Lauren Macha
Lauren Macha is a certified physician assistant with special interest and training in medical dermatology, including identifying and treating skin cancer, and management of chronic diseases such as eczema and psoriasis. Lauren attended Texas A&M University in College Station, earning her degree in Community Health. She then attended PA school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Fransican Missionaries of Our Lady University earning her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies.
Prior to joining Westlake Dermatology, Lauren practiced for 2 years in Loma Linda, California at an academic university dermatology department. During her time there she gained valuable knowledge and experience treating a wide variety of dermatologic conditions. Lauren is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Lauren grew up in Wharton, Texas and is happy to be back in the great state of Texas! Her life outside of medicine involves equestrian jumping, playing tennis, and cuddling with her dog, Tilly.
