The office was a little hard to find. The staff and doctor was very friendly. Wait time was a little longer than I am used to and the office was very packed with people. Not the most professional looking office but it’s uptown so I guess it’s typical for a doctors office in the area.
Doctor was nice, knowledgeable and helped me out for my dry eye. I did not wait too long to be seen - less than what I expected for a midday appointment. You do get your eyes examined and go to different waiting rooms before you actually go to the exam room to see the doctor. All in all, was a good experience.

Dr. Cotliar and his staff were great!!! The waiting time was perfect, I didn’t have to wait an impressive amount of time. I was called in right away to do my examination and see the doctor. The doctor listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. He has excellent bedside manner and doesn’t make you feel rushed. The staff is very helpful and courteous and seem well educated in their area of expertise. I am very pleased with my experience and definitely recommend this doctor to anyone.

Excellent service wonderful location.
Great doctor and wonderful staff
First of all, his entrance is not the same as the main building, and apparently the intercom wasn't working. I had to call repeatedly until I got to talk to someone that indicated that the entrance was around the corner. The guy at the front desk wasn't very nice but he wasn't mean either, he just acted uninterested and while he was attending me I saw that he was watching sexy girls videos on snapchat. First, another doctor checked my eyesight she was very nice and professional. Dr. Cotliar received me with a smile and had a great attitude, from now on he will be my specialist. Oh! I almost forget, I ask the front desk guy for the wi-fi password and he told me it wasn't working, but his attitude was more like: go away, i'm stalking this fine ladies instead of: oh, we are really sorry, we've been having problems with our internet. Don't expect much of this guy.
Great staff and Doctor

I was grateful to be able to see Dr. Cotliar the same morning. He was friendly, competent and reassuring that my condition would resolve. I had to wait over an hour to be seen, which wasn't optimal but it seemed the office computer system wasn't working properly this morning so I doubt this is the norm.
I love Dr. Cotliar. He's absolutely awesome!!!

I came to see Dr. Cotliar for a second opinion regarding cataract surgery. Personable, informed and honest, Dr. Cotliar explained my situation clearly, listened to my concerns and prescribed a course of treatment that was complete and appropriate. It saved me thousands of dollars compared to the first physician I saw. I'm impressed and grateful.

Very professional. Great office staff. Wrote me a glasses prescription but I need to see someone else for a contact lens prescription.

The practice is listed under my insurance. After I got there I was asked to fill out new patient paperwork and at the end of 4 pages there was a page stating that Medicaid and other insurances don't cover Pupil dilation, optic nerve laser scanner, or a phoropter which they use for prescribing glasses. I asked the receptionist what is covered by insurance if every tool used for eye wellness check ups must be paid for and she couldn't answer my question. Why is this practice listed on Zocdoc if insurance doesn't cover the basics of an ophthalmology visit? Such a waste of my time.
Theh weren't able to find my appointment at first. The Dr. was a very nice and enthusiastic. However his medical assistant did most of the work. He came in for 5 minutes put drops in my eyes, checked them and said ok everything looks good. Didn't tell me my vision has gotten worse from my current prescription glasses. I don't know how much worse it's gotten but i will find out when i go pick up my new glasses.

I appreciate the efficiency of the staff. I like first appointments. The staff was kind and courteous. They even offered to order me coffee. Dr. Cotliar was prompt and explained my condition in laymen terms. This is probably one of the most important things to do...make it simple and clear. We moved forward with next step treatment.
Dr. Cotliar and staff were extremely friendly, courteous and professional. I have no reservations with recommendations regarding this provider.

I was impressed with the amount of test they did and the equipment they had available to perform the test. I feel a eye doctors office should have state of the art equipment for fast and easy diagnosis.
