He asked me a lot of questions and took time to listen to my concerns. He told me some of the things that could be causing my problems with balance. After spending time with Dr. Meisel, I feel very confident that I chose the right neurologist to help me with solving my medical issues. He was very professional. The staff were very friendly and seemed caring. They scheduled three appointments over next couple of weeks for different tests and explained what these tests are for. I am looking forward to finding out what is going on with me and getting better.

He, and his staff were wonderful! Professional but still friendly. Took the time to really listen, calmed me down as I'm always nervous when visiting a new doctor, gathered the pertinent information and quickly and accurately summarized it,, then provided a treatment recommendation. Very happy with he and his staff; and will be a regular patient going forward.
Verified patient

Dr Meisel is an extremely knowledgeable doctor with great manner. As a pharmacist I am most impressed with his knowledge in the field of pharmacology. His staff are very cordial and polite!
Verified patient
He is awesome. He did not make me feel stupid or a problem for needing his time. He continues to be open to different treatments to try to help my problems. He took time with me and he listened. Listening is a big part of figuring out the best treatment for me And his staff is the best. They have more than once helped me when the help needed was out of the normal course of treatment. Love all of them

I've been seeing Dr. Meisel for a little over 2 years. I have found him to be very efficient, and caring. I also find that he does listen to my concerns, and is attentive to my medications and what is going on with my other specialists and conditions. He is concise in his explanations most of the time, but is happy to answer questions in more details if you wish. I will say this - I have visits where it really has just been a need to do a check in, see if there have been any immediate and obvious changes in what I see him for, and if not, we are done in a few minutes. I've also had visits where there had been some considerable issues, and he took time to do an examination. While he moved deftly and efficiently to do it, I never felt like he was trying to rush me out. I greatly appreciate that he is trying to be efficient in the use of his time and mine. That said, he is conversational, seems to care about what is going on my life while moving through the examination, and has a good bedside manner. I think the time he spends on the examinations is appropriate. For me, some visits really only need to be 5 minutes, and those visits are completed quickly (which I appreciate) - others need to be considerably longer and are (which I also appreciate), and he always hits the right level of examination review and time in my opinion.

This was my first visit with Dr. Meisel. He made me feel very comfortable. He took the time to listen to me and asked appropriate question to understand my medical condition and what he needed to do for me. I would definately recommend him. The office staff was also wonderful.
Verified patient
I was a little disappointed about how Dr. Meisel addressed my concerns of how I felt taking a migraine medication. I had to go to Dr. Meisel in order to get a MRI. I stated to Dr. Meisel I did not like how I felt on it and listed my reasoning and seeing about trying another medication perhaps for what he recommends. He said he doesn't understand why I had an issue with taking such a low dose. He didn't really sit and listen to address my concern. I felt rushed out of the appointment. I canceled my next appointment with him and stopped taking the medicine.
Excellent!!

He was terrible. He was mad bc I didn't take a med he prescribed bc of the terrible side effects. He asked me what I wanted him to do about my situation when he is the Dr. He wouldn't let me speak and kept interrupting me when I was talking. I told him Im leaving bc I wont be talked to that way and he said ok bye and was laughing. I walked out of there crying bc of that terrible man.
Verified patient
It was ok and productive
He was quite impatient seemed uninterested in my condition. Even a little irritated that I was seeking care. Cut me off during conversation. I was very frustrated when I left.

I felt I got no help with my pain for trigeminal neuralgia. I was given a follow-up appointment in October which I have cancelled. I lived with the pain for the last several years and will continue.

It was the worst appt. I've ever been to. Not only did he make me feel as though he believed I was trying to fake the condition I was there to see him for, but also as if I were trying to run some scheme to defraud his office in an attempt to obtain medications for some other purpose than my own treatment. I have never been so embarrassed and angry at the same time in my whole life. It took a lot of effort and motivation on my part to seek out a new Dr, because mine retired several years ago and I have not had a true specialist since. My primary care physician prescribed my meds because I was on the same ones for over 15 years. I had become depressed that they had not been as effective and had hoped going to see a new specialist would be a productive and positive step in improvement of my deteriorating condition, and instead I left feeling defeated, accused, and ashamed and not knowing why. I was not not there for any reason except in hopes that he might have new solutions that could bring me out of my slump, and instead left feeling hopeless and wondering what in the world I had done to precipitate such tremendous suspicion from someone that knew nothing about me. My records had already been requested, and he suggested my copies could be forged. I am not a doctor shopper or rx seeker, and only wanted help. Now I feel worse than before I went, and afraid to go see anyone else in fear they will act the same way. I am astounded that in my most vulnerable of moments (that had taken a lot of self pep talk and encouragement from support groups to get me to make the appt) he made me feel embarrassed and confused and frustrated and sad and wish I'd never even gone at all. Now I'm back to square one, and with shame on top of what was already a major hardship unresolved and with zero progress. I was supposed to go back, but there is no way on this earth I would go back and subject myself to that again. I'd rather be depressed and sleep my life away the way I have for years now than to feel that way (this way) ever again. I am amazed he has any patients at all. It was absolutely the WORST DR. APPT. I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR SUBJECT YOURSELF TO HIS ATROCIOUS BEDSIDE MANNER OR LACK OF CONCERN OR CARE FOR YOUR FEELINGS AS A PAITENT/PERSON WITH A DIFFICULT ILLNESS. HE DOES NOT CARE. IT IS EVIDENT.
Dr Meisel had a hard time making and maintaining eye contact. Mumbled and didn't seem engaged. Odd visit. We will see his associate for the next appointment.
He short and to the point. He does not draw things out by trying to over explain things. He answers all questions and always makes sure you have refills on all the medications he has you on.

I recommend Dr. Meisel office to anyone seeking a Neurologist. Everyone there is friendly and attentive. The office is always clean and fresh. Minimum waiting. Dr Meisel takes time to explain things to you, he cares about your progress and concerns. He's informative and most of all polite.

The office is incompetent for some reason they were unable to pull up my Medicare information and therefore I had to pay cash to see the Dr as I was in pain. He did not do any of the normal tests as I am a patient with Multiple Sclerosis. I will definately not retun and will find another Neurologist ASAP. I had the Medicare rep on the phone when I was there bit they chose to ignore them requesting a fax which Medicare doesnt do. I have already met my deductible for the year. This Dr spent no more than 10 minutes with me and I was completely unsatisified. As I have problems with my memory he did not understand that I didnt remember certain things. I left with Rx for 30 days & have already made an appt with a different Neurologist. I was and still am in pain and he has done nothing to help me. I dont like using pain meds, however I jave problems sleeping thru the night & he didnt even ask me to elaborate. Along with my depression & the sifficulties of moving to another state in April. Very dissapointed in this MD. Would never recommended him
