Dr. West graduated with a major in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he obtained B.S. and O.D. degrees.
Located halfway between the Clarendon Metro and Courthouse Metro, Dr. West has been treating residents of the DC Metro area for over 30 years.
In his free time Dr. West enjoys following the Washington Nationals and attending games, traveling, and spending time with family. He is also an avid gardener and a fan of opera and theater.

Dr. West was professional and explained what he was doing. I am also not the easiest person to put eye drops in my eyes and he was very patient with me and did not get frustrated when it took a few tries. I would definitely recommend him.

He was very nice and professional. My only complaint was that, due to the nature of where he is located, you either have to pay to park on the street or pay for a lot somewhere. Nothing to do with him as a doctor though.

Was very personable and friendly. Made my appointment for early in the morning and was the first patient there. Was in and out quickly with an order for new contacts already placed. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent service and professional. Promptly saw the doctor as soon as I finished insurance forms. Dr. West was helpful in understanding what tests were being run and what the results meant. I was offered the opportunity to get fitted for glasses immediately and when I didn't have time to, they offered to have me come by whenever I could.
Definitely recommend.
