Jessica's interest in nutrition began in medical school when she read a book on nutrition, lifestyle, prevention, and reversal of disease. She decided to leave other studies to pursue nutrition. After her own health journey, she developed a passion for helping others tackle their chronic diseases by getting to the root cause and providing proper nutrition interventions and education. Jessica's training in Medical Nutrition Therapy supports clients with a variety of conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, high cholesterol, and disease prevention/wellness. She has a personal connection to these areas, having experienced these diseases in her family, including successfully reversing her own diagnosis of diabetes.
Jessica believes that all people deserve nutritional care and practices with a HAES-informed approach. She feels it is an honor to help others find the key to their good health using nutrition, lifestyle, and some supplementation as tools to achieve that end.
Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neurophysiology from the University of Maryland. She earned another bachelor's degree in Dietetics and a Master's in Public Health Nutrition, both from Loma Linda University in California. She is currently enrolled to begin her doctorate in nutrition. Jessica enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and daughter, and helping others however she can.
