I think she was okay. I have another appointment with her but the problem I have with her office is her staff in the front of house. It was crazy! They were incompetent and their lack of knowledge was very frustrating. I haven't decided on Montalvo yet. The Ultrasound Tech was very nice and that really made the whole trip.

Dr Jessica Montalvo is excited to be joining Renaissance Women’s Group in January 2011, relocating her practice from Bastrop to Austin.
Dr. Montalvo earned a BS in Molecular Biology with High Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. At UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX, she was awarded membership to the AOA medical society, which recognizes the top 10% of graduating medical students. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where she was Administrative Chief Resident.
Dr. Montalvo is an Austin native, and enjoys taking advantage of all the outdoor activities this city has to offer while spending time with her husband, David, and young daughter, Catalina

I think she was okay. I have another appointment with her but the problem I have with her office is her staff in the front of house. It was crazy! She is very nice and sweet. She's also very enthusiastic and has a lot of energy. I've only had one visit with her and I'm wondering if she might be too peppy and energetic for me. I'm a little more laid back and her personality makes me question if she's genuine and sincere.
I also had to wait a really long time to see her. After meeting with the nurse (this appointment was at 9am) we sat waiting in the room we were in for 20 minutes. By this time, it was already 10:45am. I wondered if they forgot about us (plus I also had another appointment in 15 minutes for a sonogram which they knew about) so I walked out of the room and found a nurse and asked if we were going to be seen. They said they were waiting for a room to be open. I then mentioned that I had my sonogram appointment in 15 minutes, so what did they want me to do. The nurse said she would look into it and get back to me. I went back to the room and waited another 5 minutes and she came back to tell me to go ahead to my sonogram appointment because they didn't want me to miss it.
After my sonogram I came back and met with Dr. Montalvo. I finally got out of the office at 12:45. What was supposed to be a 3 hour visit, turned into an almost 4 hr visit - a bit ridiculous in my opinion. I was really ready to get out of there by that time and eat something.

Great experience! I was in and out of the office in less than an hour. Dr. Montalvo was very courteous and expressed genuine concern about me and I didn't feel like a number.

The visit was fine, had a yearly... OOH fun. Dr. Montalvo was very nice, as was the nurse who got me situated. The wait was terrible though. Every single other person in the waiting room went back before me... regardless of what order we all got there. The old doc's office I went to -- Lone Star Circle Of Hell, as they are affectionately referred to -- were giving them a hard time about my medical records. Other than that, it was the best "lady" appointment I've had in the last 5 years. And I've had 2 kids in that time. Plus I got some great news, as opposed to when I went to "L.S.C.O.H.", they seem to only want to make some money, even if that meant implying my medical condition was FAR worse than it was. I will not be going back to them, I will be scheduling my appointments with Dr. Montalvo. :)
