Dr. Fortunato feels that one of her greatest strengths in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, ages, genders, and circumstances is her ability to authentically connect with each individual and build a safe space to address the challenges and issues they are facing. She believes that the process of therapy is collaborative and that each individual seeking support already possesses the wisdom and capacities to improve their current difficulties. It is her job to facilitate discussion and offer strategies that help clients discover the gifts, insights, and strengths they already possess and may have lost touch with or have not yet known. Dr. Fortunato provides a direct, collaborative, solution-focused, and holistic approach to treatment that considers the wellbeing of the whole person-mind, body, and spirit. She is also deeply passionate and well-informed about technology-related mental health issues and offers significant support to children, couples, individuals, and families struggling with issues of digital overload and modern-day stressors.
In her spare time, Dr. Fortunato enjoys stand-up paddleboarding and is passionate enough to paddle year-round through the freezing New England winters. Some of her other passions and interests include meditation and QiGong, gardening, drawing, and reading. Jessica also likes to dance and let loose when the music inspires.
