Ms. Jessie Wetherbe is a detail-oriented and caring nurse practitioner providing obstetric and gynecological care in the West Los Angeles and Bay areas. Ms. Wetherbe attended Azusa Pacific University, where she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing. In addition Ms. Wetherbe holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington University, St. Louis, and completed an additional Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University.
Prior to joining Marina ObGyn, she worked as a nurse practitioner in a women's health practice in the South Bay. She also worked with underserved patients at the Los Angeles LGBT center and at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. She is currently a Board Certified Family Nurse practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioner. She welcomes patients or any age, race, ethnicity and sexual orientation.
Patients see her for a variety of reasons, including OB-GYN consultations, urinary tract infections, birth control/ contraception, vaginal infections, and annual Pap smear/ GYN exams. Since the office is fluent in English and Spanish; patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds are welcomed. Ms. Wetherbe also incorporates alternative and integrative health care modalities when working with her patients.
Ms. Wetherbe enjoys giving back to her community and has participated in many volunteer activities, including completing 60 surgeries for children in El Salvador.
A message from Jessie: "Most women don't look forward to seeing a provider for gynecological reasons. I try to keep visits as pleasant and comfortable as possible by providing a caring, non-judgmental atmosphere."
