She graduated from Rush Medical College and then went on to complete her residency training at University of Illinois Medical Center/Psychiatry Department. After completing her training, Dr. Harrison fulfilled obligations through the National Health Service Corps. She worked in settings where there was a lack of psychiatric providers, including prisons and community mental health clinics in rural areas. Recently, Dr. Harrison worked in a residential, addiction treatment facility and helped care for patients with co-occurring disorders.
Prior to Talkiatry, Dr. Harrison treated individuals with severe mental health disorders at a psychiatric assertive community treatment program. Working with diverse patient populations has given her a unique perspective and extensive experience treating individuals with mental health conditions. Dr. Harrison has an interest in treating patients with mood disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders but can also evaluate/treat patients with other psychiatric diagnoses. She is a member of the American Medical Association and American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Harrison seemed hesitant to take the appointment with me. She was late to the call and we spent about 9 minutes with her explaining all the reasons why she couldnt treat me and asking me questions that I answered in an online questionnaire right before my call with her. A poor experience and I wouldnt recommend her or Talkiatry to anyone. A complete rip off and waste of a co-pay.
