More about Dr. Jiyeon Kim, MD
*To prevent any spread of infection, we offer different appointment times for well child and illness visits. Illness visits are from 8:15-8:45am, 11-11:45am, 1-1:45pm, 4-4:45pm daily. Other times are for well child visits only.
All appointment must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, it will be considered as a 'no show' and you will be responsible for a 'no show' fee.*
Dr. Jiyeon Kim obtained her medical degree at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea. She received her Pediatric Residency training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, Illinois and served as Chief Resident of Pediatrics for an additional year. Dr. Kim is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Upon successful completion of her residency, Dr. Kim spent 3 years as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Illinois. There she practiced general pediatrics and was also involved in resident education as the Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Residency Program. She was involved in various advocacy projects within the community as well as scholarly activities where she mentored pediatric residents in research. Known for her dedication towards resident education, she has received numerous professional awards including the prestigious Teaching Faculty Award.
Dr. Kim has a special interest in oral health in children, preventive care, and childhood obesity, but most of all she enjoys developing close relationships with her patients and their families through the continuity of care she is able to provide as a general pediatrician. She is fluent in both English and Korean, and during her free time she enjoys cooking, doing yoga, and spending time with her niece

I was very satisfied with service, staff, and office environment. The staffs were very courteous, supportive, and helpful. The office was very clean and well organized. The service was great. I have been looking for the right pediatricians for my first child over three months. Before I found this, I visited three other pediatricians in this area but they did not seem to be too knowledgeable and one was very unattentive. Dr. Kim was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I found that My Kids Pediatrics & Adolescent Care, especially Dr. Kim is the best. I highly recommend My Kids Pediatrics & Adolescent Care to new mothers in this area.
