Dr. Joachim Fuks, MD
Joachim Z. Fuks, MD is an attending physician in the Department of Medical Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York. Dr. Fuks, a native of Poland, received his medical degree from the University of Barcelona, Spain. He completed a residency in medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital, Elmhurst, New York and an oncology fellowship at the Baltimore Cancer Center, NCI, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Fuks has held positions as a senior investigator and clinical associate with the National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, Maryland where he served as the principal investigator and project director on numerous cancer-related studies. He has also served as the Chief of Oncology at the Westchester Square Medical Center, Bronx, New York and held a position as Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Oncology at the New York Medical College. Dr. Fuks is the author of a wide variety of articles and abstracts in the field of Oncology. He has been acknowledged in Castle Connolly's Top Doctors in the New York metro area for 16 consecutive years (2002-2017). Through the collaborative Oncology Programs at the Montefiore Medical Center and bringing together the expertise and perspective of renowned experts in the field of Surgical, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Dr. Fuks provides his patients access to the highest level of multidisciplinary care, along with an innovative approach to treatment not widely available at other hospitals.
