Initial visit, went very well. She is very personable, knowledgable & friendly. Answer all my questions, very patient w/us. I have great confidence in all the midwives here @ St. Peter's; they treat you as humans, not another patient. Highly recommend any pregnant woman to come here!!

Caring for the people of New Brunswick, NJ, Ms. Joanne Cunha is a renowned midwife. Ms. Cunha graduated with a bachelor’s degree from both Columbia University and Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She subsequently earned her master’s in nurse-midwifery and women’s health from Columbia University in New York. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
Ms. Cunha brings extensive experience to her role at Saint Peters Healthcare. Her goal is to care for women during their pregnancy through delivery, as well as provide routine gynecologic care.
Ms. Cunha encourages open communication with her patients which allows her to guide them through their treatment as an active participant in their own well-being.
