Some problems that Joanne has helped me address include migraines, poor digestion, anxiety, chronic exhaustion, and difficult "stuck" feelings. My first treatment with her made such a remarkable difference that it changed my understanding of what acupuncture could offer. Over the last year, through a combo of herbs and acupuncture, I've seen reduced symptoms, with improvements in my overall quality of life. Her style is warm, funny, and relatable. She is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled, while also creative in her process. She explains her methods in an accessible, down-to-earth way, which leaves me with new ideas about health to keep in mind between sessions. Her acupuncture treatments refresh me in mind, body, and spirit; I often leave feeling very different than when I came in. Her herbal formulas make a tangible difference in my daily life, and I notice their impact growing over time. I highly recommend working with One World Acupuncture.

Joanne Hsieh is an acupuncturist and herbalist. She is licensed in both New York and California. She is also nationally certified (NCCAOM) Oriental Medicine Practitioner, a comprehensive title which includes Chinese herbal medicine.
Joanne holds a master's of science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she received the bulk of her Chinese medical training with over 3 years of clinical experience.
She also is a dedicated practitioner of qigong and holds a certificate in Medical Qigong from NYCTCM (New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine), where she completed a 150- hour clinical program in 2015.
Bringing a multi-layered approach to the treatment room, she attends to each client's specific needs for healing, whether physical or emotional in nature. The methods and modalities that are right for addressing each situation are used to promoting healing and transformation of the whole person. An avid cook, she loves to concoct healthy and delicious recipes for the nourishment of friends and community using her elemental- and plant-based knowledge. With a B.A. in Dramatic Art/Dance from the UC Berkeley, she is informed by a lifelong interest in the human body and the natural world.
