Dr. Milani is board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery since 1982 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons since 1984. He is also a certified member of the American Board of Pain Medicine since 1994 and is a member of multiple additional spinal and medical organizations. Dr. Milani was born in Orange, New Jersey and grew up at the Jersey Shore. He attended college at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, where he graduated with honors in 1973. He attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, graduating in 1977. He completed his internship in the United States Army at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He went on to complete his Orthopedic residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He finished his military service as Assistant Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Darnall Army Hospital at Ft. Hood, Texas. In 1984, Dr. Milani completed a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injuries and Spinal Pain at Dallas Rehabilitation Institute. He has served as Chief of Spinal Cord Injuries at Dallas Rehabilitation Institute and HealthSouth Medical Center. He also served as Medical Director of the Dallas Spinal Rehabilitation Pain Management Program. He is currently a staff spinal surgeon at Pine Creek Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Milani has been in private practice in Dallas since 1984. His practice is limited to the conservative and surgical treatment of all types of back and neck injuries and illnesses.

Mostly talked to a PA. Spent very little time with the doctor. Hardly had a chance to tell him about my injury or what I wanted. He seemed nice in the few minutes I talked to him. Wouldn't go back if he wasn't a workers comp referral.

So far I'm impressed, and happy with my first visit to this office. The staff was professional and exhibited great customer service. I liked Dr. Milani' and his PA's bedside manner. It would have been nice to discuss options for pain management until further diagnosis could have been done but other than it was a great visit, and I'm sure I'll like him as much as I liked my previous Orthopedic surgeon.

This was my first visit. We have only begun to determine the reason for my visit. An MRI is being ordered. After that I will know more about the doctor. He was very pleasant and his medical assistant and the person who showed me to the examine room, Rita, was very nice. The X-ray fella was also very nice and pleasant to talk with. I was totally comfortable.

I was not very happy. This doctor was not very understanding. I know I am morbidly obese but he didn't take the time to listen that this has been a life long battle. He made the statement that people in life rafts lose weight and miners trapped in mines lose weight. I guess this was suppose to be motivation to starve my self to lose weight. This is not the encouragement I needed. And this was after a very pleasant PA spent most of the time with me and Dr Millani spent 10 Min. I know I will be finding a different practice!!!

These good folks probably were overwhelmed with me but you couldn't see it in the way they conducted and communicated with me during my visit.Dr Milani has put my broken body together more than once since way back in 1986, Ive been out and about traveling and have NEVER come close to finding a more knowledgeable Dr than he and because of that throughout the years I always end up rolling my busted butt back to him because those other Docs do a 70 percent job in your care where Dr Milani will care and push himself and his staff too 110 percent. Those other docs out there can cause you more harm than good. Thanks Doc for keeping me rolling for 34 years !
