Dr Carew saw me promptly, examined me thoroughly, explained what he found, prescribed medication and told me to check back in a month if the problem wasn't resolved. He is not an alarmist and did not feel the need to send me for further tests - as so many doctors seem to do. I was very pleased. Of course, I am not cured yet - so jury is out on that one.

Dr. Carew is seriously the nicest, and I had a good experience with his staff as well. I went to Dr. Carew with terrible ear pain, and he listened, asked thoughtful questions and recommended treatment that had me feeling better in no time! I highly recommend him!

Dr. John Carew graduated from Cornell University Medical College in 1991. Following this, he completed a Residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. In 1999, he completed a 2-year fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. He received his Board Certification in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 1998. Since 1999, he has been in practice caring for both adult and pediatric patients with general ear, nose and throat disorders as well as with tumors of the head and neck region. He is also a diplomate of the Joint Council on training in Head and Neck Surgery

I've gone to other ENTs before for a recurring issue, and Dr. Carew was by far the best--he got me in immediately when I arrived, and I was DONE five minutes before my scheduled appointment time! He was friendly, professional, and incredibly gentle with a procedure that could have been uncomfortable but wasn't. It's refreshing to find a doctor who doesn't seem to work based on ego, but who is simply straightforward and helpful. If I could go to Dr. Carew from now on for ALL medical issues, not just ENT ones, I would do so in a heartbeat.

He's great. Listens to what you say, considers your symptoms , takes into account what you're already doing as preventative measures from a holistic viewpoint. He is one of the gentlest " scopers" I've had in the ENT field. Hadn't seen him in about 3 years so I'm glad to see that he's still as caring and knowlegeable as he ws in the past. Office is very calming as well and THANK YOU for the soft tissues for already inflamed noses. Because I scheduled late on Wednesday afternoon, he called Thursday morning to make sure I had the address. Pretty nice.

Dr Carew was really nice and friendly. Very professional as well, I was put at ease since he seemed to know what he was doing. He also gave me a backup prescription in case one didn't work, just goes to show how meticulous he is.
