We want to be the best person we can be yet we all have experienced how our way of doing things can get in our way. Behaviors we learned early become automatic. We do not notice how expecting failure brings failure, how expecting rejection brings rejection, how avoidance of sadness brings sadness, or how avoidance of anger brings more anger. Even when we see these connections, that is not enough to change them. It often is not until these patterns are experienced within the safety of a therapy relationship and one uses that place to practice new ways of relating that these patterns can be changed.
To understand as a psychiatrist what makes an individual operate and experience things the way he or she does I look at how each person’s experiences and development, how one’s physical endowments, and how one’s inherited disposition contribute to the way that person experiences life.
The unique ability that i bring to this process is as both a physician and a psychotherapist i am able not only to assess the roles that biology, genetics, and medical issues play in an individual’s experience and consider medication options but i am also able to assess and address learned aspects of behavior

Very Accomodating! In my particular situation I have issues with focus and being tangentle. Dr. Corwin has a nack of polietly " Reeling me in" and keeping me on track to maximise the productivity and the effectiveness of the visit.

Dr. Corwin is a caring and compassionate physician. His insight and ability to treat are outstanding! I wish I had found him years earlier. Scheduling and appointments are prompt. I am highly satisfied with all aspects of care. Truly the best!

My visit was and always is positive. Dr. Corwin provides a supportive environment for an individual to explore his/her personal challenges regarding emotional and mental health issues. He has been most helpful in diagnosing and assisting me through the acceptance phase of my mental health disorder.

I have been seeing Dr Corwin for almost a year. I have found him to be professional. He always listens to my concerns about side effects of medicine and make himself available out of office for changes in meds or moments of crisis. He works with me for what medication works best for me.
