Dr. Hinson listened to what I had to say and explained my options thoroughly and without pressure to select one option over another.
Definitely, a departure from other Orthopedic Surgeons I have visited. I certainly would recommend him to anyone needing help with shoulder problems.

Extremely informative and is pleasant to have as a physician. Have already recommended him. I was a few minutes late for my appointment and he was still able to see me within 10 minutes although the waiting room was packed. It may have helped that it was a second appointment with the doctor and would only recommend to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than your appointment to fill out or update your patient information.

I thought the doctor was pleasant enough. But I would have preferred his appearance to be a little bit more professional looking .More clean cut,shorter hair, no beard. He looked a little on the scruffy side. Otherwise the visit went well.

Liked his photo. Liked the man. I'm sure it's due to my ignorance about how the medical system works in this country, but I made an online appointment, thought I made it clear I had a bad hip, talked to the whoever called me and said it's a hip problem. (I've been waiting months to see an actual doctor) and then I learn he doesn't do hips. Offered the two options I already know I have. Miss-connect somewhere. So I left with three business cards for other doctors. Discouraging. Probably my fault. Haven't lived in the US for several decades. Everyone I've met working within the system I've liked. With all due respect to the medical profession, having lived abroad most of my life, I must honestly say the system itself is extremely convoluted in comparison to many European and Asian countries. For a start (as a generality), the reliance on answering machines instead of a human answering (good opportunity to create some jobs), and the unavailability of same is terrible and not particularly efficient.

Once I finally met the doctor the visit was productive; unfortunately, the wait time was over 2 hours and quite a few patients who had arrived considerably after I had were seen well before I was. In fact, I was told by the receptionist that I was simply on hold while 'a room became available'. This, it turned out, was nothing but an outright lie, told to placate me; at least 4 other patients were shown into rooms before I was. Unfortunate.

Dr. Hinson was thorough, spent a great deal of time explaining the extent of my injuries (prior dr. was vague) AND gave realistic insight into the post operative recovery. I wouldn't feel comfortable with any other surgeon at this point and am at ease moving forward with the surgery.

The office is invariably busy and overbooked and all patients complain about the wait.
I have seen him twice and yet only one appointment shows up on this record.

Dr Hinson took the time to properly evaluate me condition and give me a clear direction on what to do to maintain a level to achieve the best results. I always like a Dr that is wiling to speak my language and truly give a genuine diagnosis. A surgeon that felt surgery was not the ideal solution. I will be back for a second appointment and learn more about the many bones I have broken during tragic ATV accident. The injuries were severe, but being fortunate the healing has gone well with his supervision.

Dr. Hinson is the best ever. He is extremely welcoming , gives you an envelope of time to discuss your concerns, then provides expert feedback as to the cause and various treatment options for your condition. I am a transplant from Colorado and was extremely fortunate to find this outstanding doctor. I recommend him without reservation.....
