YOU don't have time for PAIN!
Tampa has excellent orthopaedic surgeons and most will be able to handle your needs. But, if you need to get an appointment quickly, consider the practice of John H. Shim, MD. Practicing in the Tampa Bay area since 1993, he has streamlined the office schedule to accommodate busy, active people such as yourself. The practice is conveniently located in the Baycare Outpatient Building in Westchase, a Tampa Suburb. For educational purposes, Dr. Shim has provided the website Shimspine.com. The website contains basic information on spine problems. But, if you need more than general information, please consider making an appointment. Dr. Shim can evaluate you for spine problems, as well as general orthopaedic problems such as knee, and shoulder pain. Like all orthopaedic surgeons, he will also be able to evaluate and treat most simple fractures.
Just so you are not disappointed, know that the practice does not provide chronic pain medications, nor provide on going disability management.
Dr. Shim's goal is to return you back to your ACTIVE life.
Since January 2013, Dr. Shim no longer participates in Medicare. Please call the office if you still would like to arrange an evaluation.

Dr. Shim has cared for me for many years. I can't imagine going anywhere else. I trust him, plain and simple as it may sound. I know that whatever he tells me is the right course of action.

Doctors appointments are sometimes as painful as the problem, but this one was painless. Being able to set it all up online and then the visit going just as smooth was nice for a change. Dr. Shim and his staff were A+
