Dr. Ehrlich has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Sandy Springs area of Atlanta since 1973. Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Dr. Ehrlich is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His practice runs the gamut from routine and high risk obstetrics to laser surgery, management of menopause and PMS. He has served as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of Planned Parenthood of Atlanta and was the founding Vice-President of the Sandy Springs Branch of the American Cancer Society. Dr Ehrlich serves as a clinical preceptor for the Advanced Family Nursing Practice Program, Georgia State U. School of Nursing, the Vanderbilt Nurse Midwifery Program and Emory University’s Midwife program.
Dr. Ehrlich grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania ‘with distinction’ and attended medical school at the New York State School of Medicine at Buffalo on a New York State Regent’s scholarship graduating in 1967. Dr. Ehrlich interned at U.C.L.A (1967-1968) and took his residency in Ob-Gyn at The University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison, Wisconsin (1968-1971.) During Viet Nam he entered the service and served 2 years as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the US Army Hospital, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama before coming to Atlanta to practice.
For recreation Dr. Ehrlich skis, kayaks and has run the Chicago Marathon and the New York Marathon twice although he cannot remember why. He has served as a volunteer for Atlanta and ING Marathons and the 1996 Olympic Games. He has four children, “I believe in my product,” and has been married for 21 years to Dr. Margaret Gorley Ehrlich, Interim Dean of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering at Georgia Perimeter College and a native of Eatonton, Georgia. She says he is everything her mother was afraid would happen if she moved to Atlanta.
