About Dr. Candace Gates
Candace Gates, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Oasis Women's Wellness Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She provides high-quality, individualized care to female patients ages 14 and up.

I had a really bad experience with this office. I scheduled the appointment to get an IUD, the initial appointment was fine but once I had to schedule a follow up to get the IUD done, I started to have issues. I have called the office at least 10 times to confirm things, trying to get another appointment booked. I left voice messages and I have yet to receive a call back, this process started in December.
I was still going to continue with this Dr because I had already started the process so I tried to schedule through zoc doc since they never answer or call back. But ultimately decided to cancel because I have absolutely no confidence in their ability to do what I need and to do it safely, never mind being able to speak to someone in the office if I need too.
I prefer to go to black owned/woman owned businesses but the treatment I received was horrible. Avoid this place.

Outstanding Experience – Highly Recommend
I had an absolutely amazing experience at this OB/GYN clinic today. From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and welcoming. Dr. Candace Gates was phenomenal — knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. She was accompanied by her PA, who was just as wonderful. They both made me feel comfortable, heard, and well taken care of.
The front desk staff was very polite and professional upon arrival. The nurse who took my height, weight, and blood pressure was also extremely courteous and professional. The young lady who drew my blood was super sweet and gentle, which I truly appreciated.
This entire visit exceeded my expectations. It was refreshing and empowering to receive such excellent care from Black women who clearly love what they do and take pride in patient care. They have definitely gained a returning patient. Thank you all for such an outstanding experience!

The receptionist was super friendly and warm which was a huge change from the previous office I was going to. She made me feel comfortable and okay asking questions. Additionally, I met with Dr. Gates who answered all of my questions and was very kind. I did not feel rushed at all throughout my appointment

Yesterday I screenshot my appointment to make sure I made it on time, an hour later I received a voicemail stating that the Dr wanted to see me earlier so they were scheduling me an hour earlier when I had already taken the only spot they claimed to have. When I called the office they claimed they double booked the appt time yet never apologized for the inconvenience leading me to believe that the reason is invalid. Since they had nothing later available I told them to cancel the appointment and they asked me if I wanted to cancel it not as if in disbelief or to reiterate it but as if I wasn’t heard at all so I guess I dodged a bullet with this office…

Not too knowledgable, couldn’t give me medication based on my symptoms when I knew what was going on. Told me my results would be back in 1-2 days and it came back in 4 days. I would not return.

The BEST gyno experience I’ve EVER received and the nice phlebotomist was excellent didn’t feel a thing! They listened to me and treated me with such friendly bedside manner I felt comfortable within minutes. Will definitely recommend to any and everyone. AWESOME STAFF!
