Jonathan W. Kim, MD, earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa in 1994 and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the California Pacific Medical Center in 1998. A rare accomplishment, Dr. Kim is fellowship trained in three subspecialties, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastic surgery and ocular oncology. Jonathan Kim, MD, also serves as the A. Linn Murphree Retinoblastoma Program Chair and director of The Vision Center at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), leading the Ocular Oncology service and Retinoblastoma Service. Dr. Kim has won several teaching and mentorship awards and is actively involved in resident teaching at the USC Roski Eye Institute. He is dedicated to advancing research in the development of targeted therapies for retinoblastomas in the field of ocular oncology. Dr. Kim was also recognized as a top doctor in Pasadena Magazine 2013 and 2014.
