Great doctor. Patient. Kind. Willing to answer any and all medical questions asked of him. Truly wants to help his patients. I highly recommend this physician!!!----
Dr. Lazare was late showing up, then when I saw him, he showed a level of carelessness I've never seen in the medical field. First, he direct me to return for a follow-up appointment while forgetting that I had told him just days before that my insurance was running out. But then, when I reminded him that my insurance was running out after this appointment, he simply said "I don't know what to tell you" and continued with what he was doing on his computer. That's not the advisement and careless attitude you want to hear from a doctor when you have a health issue that he said requires a follow-up appointment. Never returning here.
Knowledgeable doctor, very good bedside manners, and was seen right away. Definitely recommend to see him
Quick and easy. Nice doctor and highly recommended.
First impression is excellent very knowledgeable doctor
He’s the absolute best.
This was a great visit. The wait time was reasonable, the office was nice and comfortable, and the receptionist was cordial. Dr Lazard was professional, yet engaging. He asked various questions about my condition and responded appropriately to my concerns. Unlike some doctor’s, Dr. Lazard spoke to me, but not at me.
He took the time to explain everything, He showed me scans and procedures. I felt confident that I had chosen an expert in the field
Dr. J. Lazare was courteous, professional and very responsive. He welcomed me into his office and immediately asked a lot of questions to better understand my condition. He was patient understanding and personal. His bedside manners are exceptional. I highly recommend Dr. Jonathan Lazare. Alonzo H
Always a pleasure to see Dr. Lazore. He is knowledgeable and very caring.
very professional and gave me some more information on how the gentials work.
He was great. I had a problem with testosterone, he sent me f or tests and it was quick.
you immediately feel that not only is he highly knowledgeable but he seems to actually care. This is a quality that has become extremely hard to find. The office is brand new and the staff is very helpful and nice.
So far pretty good !!!!!
Visit went smoothly and he answered all my concerns
He was friendly and the staff there are really nice and helpful.
Wonderful dr. Very professional and knowledgeable.
Today was my first time visiting the Dr. Lazare. He listened to me explain my problems and ran the usual tests. Afterward he explained the results. He scheduled some additional labs and I will follow up with him this Saturday.Yes everyone, HE HAS HOURS ON SATURDAY! I am very happy with Dr. Lazare and I would recommend him.
Friendly staff and very knowledgeable doctor. Practically no wait time. Dr. Lazare saw me exactly when my appointment was scheduled for. Highly recommended.
I was very pleased with my visit to Dr. Lazare. He showed concern with my issue. I feel that I am in good hands. His assistant was very attentive as well.
I enjoyed my visit, everyone was nice and very helpful, The doctor was also quick and seen me right away. The doctor also follows up with another appointment to make sure everything is okay.
A good listener and right to the point. No fluff or small talk to get you to like him. For me that is fine, maybe not so much for others. Doesn't really explain any actual medicine to you though, even if you ask. If you go there specifically due to having symptoms of low testosterone I would probably recommend another person who specializes in that.If you are being seeing for urological symptoms then its adequate.
Very good experience here. I will definitely come here again. Dr.Jonathan Lazare is a wonderful urologist. He is very patience and understanding.
Accuracy of treatment or diagnosis: he refused to solve or help me with my problem. He asked me to do lab test which can not identify my problem. After results he told me you are healthy but I still have a problem with my health. It is ridiculous. Doctor was trying not to help me just to make as much as possible appointments with me.
Incredibly thorough and well spoken. There wasn't any time during my visit that I felt like I needed to ask for further explanation. Great communication skills highly recommended to anyone.
Very upbeat and friendly.
Yes he is the best doctor
Informative and attentive. Great doctor
This Dr. seems forgetful as I told him how long my symptoms lasted 3x. He also seems more interested in doing tests and exams as a first resort as opposed to other conservative means.
I enjoyed my experience at Dr Lazare's office a lot. He is very professional and made me feel comfortable to talk about sensitive topics ,which I greatly appreciate. He also helped to schedule additional services in a timely manner. Front desk lady at Brighton office (where I went ) is extremely professional and helpful too. Thank you for your care !
Once again everything went smoothly! Dr. Lazare is great and knows what he's doing. Great staff in the office as well. You'll be in good hands .
Great Doctor, know's what he's doing!
While his staff is very pleasant and helpful, Dr. Lazare has possibly the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've ever received care from. Gruff, condescending, and made me feel uncomfortable during my entire visit. The office is dirty and unkept, the examining table was broken, and my examining gown broke while I was there--leaving me exposed upon examination. He also wanted to charge me an exorbitant amount for a "follow up" appointment (which only entailed him telling me results of a test which every other doctor I've been to have called to tell me results). When I balked at the amount for said "follow up," they lowered it slightly (but since when is this a negotiable thing??). Would not recommend!
Dr. Lazare was very personable and listened to all of my concerns before proceeding with my examination. Very knowledgeable and I'm very thankful for the appointment. On top of the appointment itself the staff were very warm and helpful.
I always get to speak to the doctor very quickly and everyone is professional and friendly. He makes a point to get to know you beyond just a clinical patient relationship. Really enjoyed his services and guidance.
Just came from a visit .. not a long wait at all i was in and out Dr. Lazare was very straight foward and made me feel comfortable with my visit .
He was straight forward & very sociable in everything he did. It was a very comfortable visit overall!!!
He was very careful and explained everything clearly. Would go again!
He is a real amazing doctor.. listen very well, and give a clear replies for all my questions, and he is really a great doctor.. i highly recommend him..
Very professional and down to earth doctor. He really listens to what you have to say.
My first time visiting the office, Dr. Lazare listened to my concerns regarding infertility and ran some tests and explained the results. He scheduled some additional labs. Unfortunately his office didn't schedule a follow up appointment for the results so I had to do that. He explained that while surgery would be the first course of action and that there isn't a solid correlation between this surgery and fertility, it was an issue that I should resolve. As there was a chance it could impact my chances at conceiving I went ahead with the surgery. Overall it was a minor outpatient surgery and his schedule is fairly open for calls and last minute appointments. The surgery went well and I wasn't surprised as Dr. Lazare did a good job in explaining the recovery and managing my expectations. With the exception of the follow up scheduling, I am happy to report that I have a healthy baby girl on the way so all things considered, I am very happy with Dr. Lazare.
Had to change appointment location, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The blood test location around the corner wasn't available on Saturday and the alternative location was 30+ minutes away. Hope they find an alternative. Located right off the B&Q. Make sure you go down the stairs and not up. The Medical group upstair was pretty rude to a guy entering their office.
The Dr. was very thorough and he got right to the point. I was very confident of hi knowledge of the issues. Mike B.
I had to wait a while before seeing the doctor because of an insurance issue, but other than that I had no real issues. The receptionist was nice and the doctor himself was helpful and didn't make me feel rushed.
Dr. Lazare took his time and learned about my problem and carefully explained my treatment options. He was caring and extremely responsive.
I had a verry good experience with my appointment. I was seen immediately and the doctor was very good
Dr. Lazare is a good doctor very professional and have a angel hands. For best treatment. Dr. Lazare
Dr. Lazare listened to my description of what I came to see him about, examined me (gently), and provided the information I needed based on my condition.
He is tall and authoritative. He knows what he is talking about, but is very cool and friendly and makes you relaxed and at ease. Great mix of really knowing his profession and being a pro but also being nice and casual and chill with helping you. His diagnosis was spot on and tests proved him right.
Everyone at this office was lovely. Dr Lazare was personable and courteous. Felt like I had his full attention during my appointment. This was my first visit. New doctors can sometimes make me a little anxious, but my experience here was entirely comfortable and easy.
Super good! He explains everything and is very nice.
competent, nice and concerned! Charles O
Very professional and straight forward.
Went to see this dr twice. He's rude, impatient, and condescending. He answered my questions with sarcasm and eyerolls, and when I raised a concern about his suggested treatment, he made me sit there while he googled it and read it aloud to "prove it" to me. If you're looking for a dr who will listen and take you seriously, this is not your guy.
While I'm sure he's qualified, the overall experience was just OK. I don't mind waiting to see the doctor, as I understand things can fall behind -- it was about a 30 minute wait. However, the primary reason for this low rating is due to the multiple phone calls he took on his cell phone mid-conversation, while I was explaining symptoms, etc. He is nice enough, but if you're looking for a personal experience, he seemed pretty preoccupied. That said, he examined me, provided details, and explained his thoughts; This is, after all, a physician's primary job.
Downstairs and first door on the right once you enter for his Brooklyn location. Was seen right away (first appointment of the day). Dr. Lazare was very helpful and informative of my situation and walked me through my options. Will definitely keep going.
Sabina is very friendly and organized. She makes you feel comfortable when you check in. The doctor is very through and asks a lot of questions that may pertain to your condition. He thoroughly examined me and gave me options as to how to treat me.
Dr. Lazare is great. The waiting room didn't seem to be that packed which was nice. Usually when I see a waiting room with a lot of people, it means the wait is going to be bad. Dr. Lazare found the root cause of my condition and did some diagnostics tests to check for other issues as well. Would go again.
After Dr. Lazare arrived at the office an hour late. His office and lobby was unclean, and his equipment brown with use and age. His staff was unwilling to provide estimates for additional testing Dr. Lazare prescribed. But the real problem with Dr. Lazare is that he was dismissive of my concerns about my condition and pain that I was experiencing. I returned once to give him another chance, but my second experience was no better than the first. I will not be returning again. I have found another urologist, unfortunately Dr. Lazare's staff has been no more helpful in passing information along to my new doctor than they were in assisting me in person.
His first recommendation was surgery, I walked out and got a second opinion.
Was very knowledgeable and helpful. Goes out of the way to help.
A good professional
Very personable and professional!
Great doctor very friendly . Even Sabin the front desk very Helpful and great attitude .
Much to Quick to want to operate
He was very knowledgable and professional. Would highly recommend
Didn't trust me as a patient. After 2 months of pain in my bladder area and a couple of failed efforts to treat it, I came to Dr. Lazare. Early on in the pain, my girlfriend and I were both tested for STD's out of an abundance of caution, mainly to rule it out. Those results were negative. I also informed him that I'm in a monogamous relationship. Still, after seeing a high wbc count (I wasn't informed when these results came in and was forced to come in again to hear these results), I was diagnosed with an std. I leave it to the reader to decide on the accuracy of this diagnosis. Major billing issues. Was severely overcharged the first time and had to uncover the error myself and bring it to their attention. They did immediately correct the matter when I informed them of the error.
Dr. Lazare is hands down the best doc I've seen since moving to New York. He is excellent at his craft and a caring physician.
Great staff very helpful the doctor is amazingly great at what he does I will always use his practice.
The doctor was not polite and not professional. He was not interested in helping me feel better. I am going to another urologist for a second opinion. There was no wait time because his office was empty. His staff was awful as well.
So far, I'm happy with Dr. Lazare. Had to wait a while, but once I got in there, he was friendly, open and willing to listen. Going back next week, and I hope my experience is the same.
Dr. Lazare is very much informed and very good in assessing the patient situation. Very pleased with his service and his office staff
Dr Lazare is a really good doctor. He is very attentive and very patient. He listens to you. And then he responds to what you have expressed. He answers honestly. He puts you at ease because he does not sugar coat anything. I like that about him.
I visited Dr. Lazare at 326 7th Street to get a second opinion after another urologist told me to take painkillers for painful bi-lateral varicoceles. The blood analysis and the semen analysis tests showed that everything was otherwise fine, but telling me to take painkillers for the rest of my life to treat the pain wasn't what I expected a professional surgeon-urologist to tell me, especially when the condition has a long history of being cured with surgery. I did plenty of research on this condition beforehand and knew that only surgery can provide permanent pain relief. Dr. Lazare performed ultrasound and confirmed that the condition requires surgery. I can't even begin to describe how great it was to know that after so many years, I would soon be free of it (had it since 13, too ashamed to admit to family or anyone, and lifting weights probably exacerbated it). Soon after, I've had surgery - bilateral sub-inguinal varicocelectomy, performed by Dr. Lazare. I could walk within the first day, though sitting then standing would pull on scars and create some pain as expected. Had a follow-up with the doc within a week, and the ultrasound showed no varicose veins so far. It takes a month to three months to fully see the results, and so far it's been only a week past surgery. The office staff at both locations is always very pleasant and courteous and the wait time is practically 5 to 10 minutes. Dr. Lazare is very knowledgeable and shows sincere concern for his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to see a urologist.
Everything from dealing with the receptionist, to the exam and discussion with Dr. Lazare ,and the suggested follow up treatment went as well as one might expect.
He's great - made me feel very comfortable. I actually want to follow up and go to my second appointment now. Highly recommended...
Good education provided
Very pleasant and reasonable office staff here. Dr. Lazare was relaxed and and took time to ask and answer all relevant questions.
Dr. Lazare was direct, effective, and clear in his diagnosis and treatment instructions. The office is a little busy, but if you're a grown adult who is concerned with the quality of your care, and not a fussy Yelp review critic type of person, it won't matter.
I like him very much. He takes the time to explain things and answer questions. He's thorough and caring.
He listened, he was thorough, and he had a nice bedside manner.
He was incredibly nice and easy going, he was perfectly on time and thorough. Will be going back.
Dr. Lazare is very thorough and professional and his office staff is helpful and friendly. Plus a convenient location. Highly recommend.
My visit was warm and everyone was professional and I like the way they spoke to me and make me feel at home,i was treated like a a son speaking to his father, Dr Lazare I will recommend any time to my friends and neighbors, also my sons.He is very pleasant with his smile. I love him. when I see him and leave his office he make me forget my problem.
After having ultra sound and urine test negative for stones or infection etc the doctor called over to the hospital for me to have other tests run. Turns out I have ovation cyst that needs to be surgically removed. It was causing the pain in my side and back and frequent urination. He could have easily dismissed me (as I've had doctors do in the past) since the first tests showed nothing. It meant a lot that he went the extra mile and believed that I was experiencing the symptoms I said I was and wanted to get me a diagnosis.
Attentive. Responsible. Thorough. Caring.
It's nice to know you are in trusted hands when you have a particular problem, with Dr. Lazare when it comes to urology you are in good hands.
Wow, this was a great experience! I was very concerned about the test I had to take, but he made me feel so comfortable and at ease. He took his time and reassured me throughout the process. I highly recommend him. Also the staff was great to work with and also very helpful.
I am very disappointed with this office they were nice at first but turned out to be really really unprofessional. Dr.Lazare is an excellent Dr. But his staff at the front desk is very rude , you call a million times and they put you on hold forever or hang up the phone while your waiting. Because of their nasty attitude this Dr. Will lose a. Lot of patients. They are short staff and told me I have to understand. Am the patient that is not my problem you are the one that's getting paid for our services... Terrible front desk. Especially the biller a very nasty demeanor.
Good doctor and seems like a genuinely nice guy. His office took me right way and friendly front desk staff. Will definitely go back to him if I ever need to see a urologist again.
Dr. Lazare has been my Urologist for over a year. Every time I go for my check up I have never had to wait any more than 20min. Great bedside manner and he always answer all of my question and concerns. Just wish he had an office in NJ.
