Dr. Hilario was excellent and knows what he’s talking about. I was seen right away. I wasn’t even in the office 5 minutes before the dr was in my room. He was very thorough and took his time explaining everything to me. I never felt rushed. He gave me multiple options to work with and was conservative in his treatment. His bedside manner was amazing- hands down the best Doctor I’ve ever seen! You can tell he’s passionate about his job and helping people.

Dr. Jose F. Hilario began practicing in San Antonio since January of 2009 after relocating from Laredo, Texas, where he was in solo practice for three years at The Laredo Foot Clinic. Dr. Jose Hilario was raised in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from Southwest High School, and attended The University of Texas in San Antonio where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Science. Dr. Hilario taught sciences at Southwest High School while enrolled in graduate studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio where he majored in Neurosciences. He received his podiatric medical degree from Dr. William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at North Chicago Medical School. He then completed a three year surgical residency program (PSR-36) at Saint Josephs Hospital in Chicago Illinois.

This physician was quick to see me as I arrived very early for my 3:00 appointment; well before 3:00 I was already in the treatment room.
The staff was courteous, yes.
The receptionist told me my prescriptions were faxed to my pharmacy, but I found this not true when I arrived at my pharmacy to pick them up. I returned to the pharmacy this afternoon to be sure no prescriptions were called in for me (nope. sorry).
By the way before I went to the pharmacy today, I went to the Doctor's office. Another receptionist was told that my prescriptions were faxed to my pharmacy (false again) and told me they were faxed to my pharmacy (nope).
The doctor said to me "the pharmacy may say they never received the prescription from us," and I wish I would have taken his suggestion to hand carry the prescription to my pharmacy.

I've been to other podiatrists who didn't suggest some of the reasons for my foot pain that Dr. Hilario did. He gave me a steroid shot and suggested inserts he developed for exactly my foot problem which were less than half the price of other doctors I'd seen. Very professional and friendly!

My visit with Dr. Hilario was great. He and his staff were extremely accommodating. I had a last minute emergency snd had to change my appointment twice in the same day. They were understanding and graciously worked with me to get me in despite my ever-changing day. On arrival, I was seen almost immediately. He had a great bedside manner and did a nice job with my painful toe. The doc and the office staff had a caring approach and left me feeling well taken care of. ...something every patient wants.
