I really, really liked Dr SanMartin and his staff, but I was disappointed with my wait. My appt was for 1. I arrived a little before; there was no paperwork to complete. I waited for a solid hour before being taken back(there was no emergency going on). Then, I waited about 15mins in the exam room. The doctor is wonderful, but my time was not considered.

I had a baby with Dr. San Martin as my OB in October.
There was a complication with my epidural after it was given, and I ended up feeling every ounce of pain during my delivery. This caused me to cry, and go into panic mode. After I delivered, Dr. Martin came into my hospital room and told me my behavior was unacceptable and he didn't put up with a patient acting like that. He said this as I was nursing my newborn with my fiance next to me. I had never felt so disrespected in my life.
I would give zero stars if I could.
This was my first baby and he made it a horrible experience.
When I went back for my post partum appointment, I never got an apology. He just said that the nurses were frustrating him.
Please be mindful of this if you're thinking about going to this doctor.

My first experience was pleasant. I appreciated his bedside manner and sense of humor. I felt relaxed and free of judgement as we spoke about health choices and past history.
Office staff was also pleasant. On day of my appointment he was actually running late due to an emergency. I didn't know but I had received a call to reschedule my appointment. I showed up and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who didn't even mention that she had tried to call me a couple of times. She just said that the doctor was a little behind but that there's only one person in front of me.
As I waited, the voice messages that she had left came in. I was a little panicked and apologized to the receptionist that I"m just receiving the message and if I had to reschedule. She said it's ok and that the doctor would be happy to keep my appointment if I"ll forgive the delay. Not bad that I was only delayed 30 minutes. I was really impressed with the staff and location.

This is my second pregnancy and I can not say enough good things about Dr. San Martin. I had a different doctor for my first pregnancy and I wish I had gone with Dr. San Martin from the start. He has great bedside manner. He makes you feel comfortable and answers all your questions. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients.

This was a great experience for me. I did get a little turned around about where his office was located in the plaza (which he is on the end close to Briar Rock, and his door to the office faces Borough Park Dr.) but any of the offices you go into can direct you to his doors. His office is clean, decorated well and every staff member I talked to had a smile on their face and were extremely friendly. I have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks which is when he wanted to see me again and a big plus!! In other words I didn't hear "well, the next available we have is not for another 3 weeks" and the doctor told me to come back in 2.. It's still VERY early in my pregnancy but I think Dr. San Martin and his staff will suit me just fine.
