Dr. Joseph Dove DPM is a Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in podiatric medicine and surgery.
Dr. Dove obtained his undergraduate degree at East Stroudsburg University in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He completed his podiatric education at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a two year surgery residency at the Maryland Podiatric Medical Program in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Dove has been in private practice since 1991 and has offices in both Overlea and Highland town, Maryland.
Dr. Dove’s primary goal is to provide a gentle, friendly experience for all patients and to educate each patient in regards to his or her problem so a treatment program can be started with the highest quality of care.
You will only be seen by Dr. Dove and our scheduling is flexible so if you are experiencing an acute problem we can usually see you the same day.

Mr. Dove was phenomenal with this being my first time to the practice. He was down to earth, efficient, and knows what he is doing. Mr. Dove was able to tend to multiple patients in quick succession and you could tell that each patient there enjoy coming to the practice. I highly recommend and will not hesitate to go back despite being out-of-network for my insurance coverage.

I visited for my Toenail infection & it was going in my skin. So Dr. Dove has done a surgery & took out a portion of the nail. Since then I visited 2-3 time for a routine checkup. 6 months after the surgery, I can say, My nail problem is completely eliminated. Very helpful & knowledgeable doctor.

He was absolutely amazing!!! I took my daughter in as an emergency patient because her toe was warm, red and swollen. Dr Dove did immediate in office surgery and 3 days later she is already feeling better!! She can’t wait to go back next week to have the other foot fixed.

This was my second visit with Dr. Dove & the 1st time was almost 12yrs ago and he not only did a great job on a joint replacement on my toe back then, but also remembered me. Because of the great surgery & relief it provided me still to this day 12+yrs later is why I chose to go back to him for very painful bunions on both my feet & he was very thorough on the explanation & the recovery time knowing I own my own business and how busy I am. He was very honest and asked me to do some research to better understand how long the recovery time would be so that I could make an informed decision as to when I should have the surgery like the beginning of winter time when my business may be a bit slower affording me the time to allow for proper recovery rather then rush into it knowing I may be tempted to walk on it or put weight on it and mess up the surgery or prolong the recovery process! He truly is a great Dr. and we need more like him! Would & will recommend him to any family & friends that may need a podiatrist!

Dr. Dove is articulate, personable and easy to understand. This is important to me as someone with a hearing problem who has HAD IT with mumbling geezers who cannot be clear!
He explained in concise but friendly terms what my options for treatment were and had good advice about costs and insurance.
I will be returning to his office for the next phase. I feel confident that the painful arthritis in my foot will be treated.
