About Dr. Brent Tabor

Dr. Brent Tabor has been in private practice in Maryland since 1994. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from University of Maryland in 1988. He received training and certification as an athletic trainer while in college. He received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1992.
After graduating from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine Dr. Tabor completed two years of residency training in foot and ankle surgery. He also completed the Foot and Ankle Surgical Fellowship in the Orthopedic Department at the University of Maryland Hospital in 1994. He has been Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery since 1998.
Dr. Tabor has been serving Maryland residents since 1994 with offices located in Gaithersburg and District Heights. He enjoys all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery with interests in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, regenerative medicine, sports medicine and diabetic ulcer care. He also has a special interest in sports medicine due to history as an athletic trainer.
Dr. Tabor has served on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association. He has been elected to several positions including President. He has also served as Chief of Podiatry for the Department of Surgery at Shady Grove Medical Center.
Dr. Tabor is married and has two sons. He enjoys sports but has a passion for lacrosse which he played throughout college. He coached his sons in lacrosse, soccer and basketball for many years. He has been a board member of the Howard County Lacrosse Program. He enjoys spending time
