Joseph R. Garza is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Garza graduated with honors from Keystone School and later Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. He sub-specializes in Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology.
Dr. Garza is Board Certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the American Association of Gynecologist Laparoscopists, the Society for Reproductive Surgeons, American Society of Reproductive Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He performed the first GIFT procedure in private practice in San Antonio at the Nix Hospital in 1985. Dr. Garza is an international lecturer and instructor in advanced laser and reproductive surgical and microsurgical procedures. He is married and has four children.
