I love Dr. Iemma! He’s honest, kind and straight forward...just what I was looking for in a PCP. He really listens to your concerns and always takes in consideration the full picture about the patient, not just their one complaint/concern. :-)

Dr Iemma has been my PCP for years, but have not seen him for a while. I have ALWAYS found him to be a very caring, professional , to the point physician. Took his time and answered all of my questions.
Everyone in the office was efficient and friendly.

Today was a follow up appointment. When I expressed my concerns of my weight going up even with the help of medications that were to bring it down, his response was I must be self sabotaging and sleep eating over night. I tried to explain to him all of the things I have changed in my diet. I do not over eat, nor do I eat the oily, sugary, fatty, high carb, high salt foods. I increased my activity levels as well and I showed him my fit bit data.
I found that he didn't care to see if there was anything underlying of why my body is doing this. He was blaming that it must be my fault and that I must be eating all of the wrong things.
I'm not sure I can change much more, I've already changed breakfast to a meal replacement shake, lunch to salads without dressing, and dinner as stated above. And 6 sixteen oz glasses of water a day.
He decided that the only route it surgery, and would not consider that it could get a result of anything else. Not sure if I'd return to this provider.
