Dr. Kimani is ANCC Board certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Licensed in New Jersey and Arizona. He specializes in family psychiatry and addiction, and has worked extensively with children and adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with psychiatric/mental illnesses. Dr. Kimani is certified in opioid addiction treatment among other addictive behaviors and holds a DEA waiver to prescribe suboxone as the main drug for opioid addiction intervention. He also prescribes and administer Vivitrol injection as an alternative treatment for opioid addiction. Dr. Kimani is also a trained psychotherapist, and besides psychiatric services , he also spends time with patients offering therapeutic counseling. He treats patients with schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar spectrum, depression and anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), Social anxiety/phobia, phobias, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), body dysmorphia, eating disorders, children and adults with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD) among other disorders. Dr. Kimani also specializes in substance abuse and addiction.

I seen doctor and very nice man he was told him everything up front 100 percent honest yet when it was time to get my meds the lady Jen wouldn't send them in bc she said she didn't know my other meds well the doctor did them I was told I see doc in two weeks free of charge lied and told he was no longer going to write for my med we talked about bc he didn't feel comfortable that's what Jen said yet he was totally find writing on the start and Jen refuses to let me talk to him again very funny and I don't think it's right that what me n doctor talked about could be being changed do to Jen the phone lady
