Torres is one of the best doctor in Florida. I have been his patient for the past 8 years. I will not trust any one else.
He doesn't wait on anything, he gets things done. My wife has been very sick for a while and was with another doctor. He took over her case and got her fixed right away and got the proper care for her.
I would not hesitate to have him has your primary care physician. He treats your life like it was his.

He has been my doctor since I moved to Florida 20 years ago. He has always listen to my concerns and advises me accordingly. Waiting time may be a little long but it is because he doesn't rush through his patients. I recently changed insurance plans and I was dreading that if he did not accept my new plan I would have to look for a new doctor....I was so glad he did.

Joseph L. Torres, M.D. completed a residency in Family Medicine and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center . He served as Team Physician for the University of Nebraska and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor for Florida State University College of Medicine. NO BODY HELP IN OFFICE WITH APPOINTMENT

My first visit they set me up with an order for bloodwork. They also set my follow up appointment for 3 weeks later. I did the bloodwork the same day and rescheduled the follow up due to a change in my work schedule. My follow up appointment ended up being about 6 weeks later. When I went in they didn't know why I was there and couldn't find my bloodwork. They claimed to have contacted the lab and said the lab didn't have my results. I left the office and drove straight to the lab and within 5 minutes had a copy of my labs in hand. Thinking maybe I didn't give the lab the right doctor I checked and the name on the labs was for Dr Torres' office. The original visit was ok and the bedside manner was good but after that follow up visit I would not recommend them. On top of losing / not being able to find my labs this follow up visit was going to cost me because it wasn't part of my annual well visit. This is the first I've heard of paying a dr to go over your annual lab work. It was also the first time I've ever had a Dr not just call me about labs.

I would never recommend this doctor, he did not even check me for anything, just wanted to recommend me to a pain clinic, and gave me another Dr's number to call. His medical assistant was just as bad.

1. No appointment had been scheduled. Additionally, they did not have the paperwork I had carefully filled out.
2. They told me my Medicare card was "inactive". I was sent home.
I called Medicare, was told I was not inactive and to contact the doctor's office. I did. They said there was a "glitch" and set me up for an appointment later that afternoon.
3. As I left, I overheard some patient talking with the receptionist,
his on-line appointment had not been scheduled either.
4. When I got to the pharmacy, the doctor had neglected to request one of the 3 prescriptions he said he would write.
5. I called this morning regarding the missing med, they cannot tell me when it will be ready as he is busy seeing patients.

He was fast and concise and knew exactly what my problems were. He then advised me where the best place to get my medicine from, which happens to for free.
His center also offered a plan for uninsured patients to pay a one time fee of $180 and that covers 4 visits in a year. I couldn't have asked for a better service.
