Was very clear and listened well, the only reason for any wait was because of another patient's medical emergency, so I believe there would not have usually been a wait.

She can be dismissive? She should not be a doctor, she has no patience.

Doctor Meng was excellent. She was punctual and comprehended my circumstances quickly.
I had relocated to San Francisco, and while making diagnosis, she concurrently performed the validations on the system to get me set up as a patient. I felt that she was very competent.
Very satisfied customer.

She suggested to try ' on the counter' migraine tablets. I don't think she is knowledgable. She is friendly though. Awful place.

She was great, but I do wish I didn't have to spend so long waiting for the appointment. Waited for about an hour before I got to see her, an hour past my appointment that is.

Took the time to talk with me, I didn't feel like they were rushing me in and out of the office, but after 30 minutes of chatting walked away not really sure of next steps or any treatment.

Complete waste of time and money.
I felt pigeonholed into her predetermined diagnoses and the startup she's a partner with after having no discussions of insurance coverage for that recommendation or any substantial discussion of a more thorough medical history.
I wanted to get a medication refilled and she balked at something I've been taking for years. She outwardly discriminated me by my age, expressed no understanding of my situation, and had no inclination to research my circumstances otherwise outside of what I'd been holed into.
Ultimately, she decided on a medication for me but had to seriously Google around for the specifics of what she called "safe" without any sort of confidence--likely more "safe" for her than me. This happened in a public area eliminating confidentiality and privacy and she dismissed the *absoultely known* concerns of tapering off my current medication.
I'm pretty sure doctors like this shouldn't be in practice.

She took as much time as needed to listen to all my issues and was very thorough in explaining what was causing my symptoms. In addition, she took the time to explain how the prescription works unlike other doctors who sign the pad and send you off.
Another plus is that her office is good at responding to the phone and replying to requests. I was able to speak to Dr. Meng on the phone for 5 minutes upon request -- no waiting hours and hours for a callback.

She was very friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel right at home! I had a really close bond with my neurologist before her, and was nervous to see a new one but with one visit she made me feel at ease! It's a pretty long wait time, but she'll take the extra time to talk to you and make you feel comfortable- even if it means cutting into her lunch! Her staff is as nice as can be as well. My only complaint is a long wait and a crowded office, but everything else was great!

Dr. Joy Meng was really great-- she answered all my questions and explained everything so clearly. I would highly recommend her!

She provided no answers and made me feel like I was making up my symptoms. She told me an asinine story about a teenage girl projectile vomiting due to anxiety. Then she prescribed me a stimulant that my insurance doesn't cover and Walgreens doesn't carry. She gave me a card that would make the prescription "free", but it had ALREADY BEEN USED. She's just a shill for Teva pharmaceuticals. I cannot recommend her!

She didn't even examine me. It was the day of the power outage so everything was a little haphazard but I didn't feel like I got a thorough examination.

Dr. Meng is an angel. I've been seeing her for my chronic migraine since I moved to San Francisco from the midwest, about 7 months ago. I see her every 6 weeks. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and sweet. She's also very understanding because she has had migraine problems herself. At first I was trying different medications under her guidance and she would always tell me how each medication worked, give her honest opinion, tell me all the common side effects, and ask me if this was one I wanted to try. My previous doctor used to just prescribe- but she really consults me before prescribing. After trying 4 different daily meds, she suggested I would be a good candidate for Botox. Again, she thoroughly consulted me about it. I've had 2 rounds of Botox so far and my migraines are reduced from 15 migraine days a month to about 6 now. My one complaint is that her office assistants are new and inexperienced. It can be difficult communicating with them. However, Dr. Meng always gets on the phone or calls me back when needed. She's also very considerate about medical expenses and even changed the way she bills for my medication so that my co-pay is lower. I highly suggest Dr. Meng!

She is Stanford-educated and that speaks for itself. Additionally, she is warm in bedside manner and genuinely empathetic with and helpful to her patients. What might make her special is her knack for explaining an illness and each step of the treatment plan. She is positive, pleasant, a listener and, generally, gives us a "shot in the arm" when some of us most need it.
PS - I saw her in order to treat a severe case of sleep apnea.

They're cash only and asked me to cut them a check for a few hundred dollars for a home sleep study. I was told there was no copay, and ended up getting a copay bill for my visit in the mail a month later.

Privacy in the office is not on the level that I've come to expect at other facilities (vitals were taken in the waiting room), but it did not take away from the level of quality care from Dr. Meng.
