Juan Felix, MPAS, PA-C, joins BackFit Health + Spine with 23 years of experience in a range of specialties, previously working in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Cardiology, Urgent care, Occupational Medicine, and Pain Management as well as Military Medicine. He received his Physician Assistant training at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Allied Health Sciences in Dallas, Texas, and later received his Master’s Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Juan’s goal is to promote health and wellness and to empower our patients to live a better life. He believes the first step in our treatment plan is lifestyle modification: changes in what, how, and when we eat, what we drink, how we exercise, as well as how and when we sleep. Minimizing unnecessary medications by improving how we live and what we do should be the basis of comprehensive health management.
Some of his favorite activities when he’s not helping people at the clinic are spending time with his children and grandchildren, golfing, staying fit with daily exercise, cooking for a clean diet, and supporting his favorite sports teams.
Juan also served in the Air Force as an Army Medical Officer.
