Dr. Judith Goldstein attended City College of New York where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. From there, she received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Goldstein completed her pediatric internship and residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. She has been featured in New York Magazine’s “The Best Doctors in New York “and was awarded with the “Most Compassionate Doctor” Award in 2012 and 2013. She has also been featured in The New York Times Magazine under the title “Super Doctors of New York”.
My first inspiration and desire to be a physician, stems from my father, who was an internist, in Transylvania, Romania, where I was born. He loved his profession, and always said, that true caring for your patients and good communication with them, were the most gratifying to his everyday life. I was 5 years old, when I decided to follow in his footsteps, and as I grew older, my wish turned into a fervent passion, and a lifelong pursuit. I chose pediatrics, because it combined the best – taking care of little children, watching them grow and develop, interact with them at all ages and stages, while at the same time “steering” the parents.
Teaching, guiding and listening to parental concerns is something I truly enjoy. I have learned so much from children and parents that I then can pass on, like the links of a chain.

Dr. Goldstein was wonderful and very kind and gentle. Even with a fussy two year old who was not in the mood for her exam, Dr. Goldstein was patient and so sweet to my daughter.

From the moment my daughter was born through today, when she is a young adult, Dr Judy has been by our side 100% of the time. She is an incredible diagnostician and extremely warm and a tremendous advocate for her patients. She never fails to return a call and always calms a nervous, panicked mother. We intend to stay with Dr Judy until she kicks us out of her practice.

I had met with several other pediatricians before choosing Dr. Goldstein. For 13 years Dr. Judith Golstein offers more than just a pediatric service: which she never failed. She is very skilled and precise. She also offers guidance. She is that person besides my mother I felt I could call at any given time to ask a question. She guided and supported me through the most difficult and emotional times that my child and I had to endure for months. She makes sure that my child is both physically and emotionally well.
Her demeanor is welcoming and kids did not feel threatened by seeing a doctor. Children love her
She is an iconic pediatrician of New York City! I Absolutely recommend her.
