Julia Pettersen Neckman, MD is a Yale-trained dermatologist specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery as well as cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. Dr. Neckman completed her subspecialty training with Roy G. Geronemus, M.D. at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York.
Dr. Neckman graduated from Duke University and earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai. During medical school, she was awarded a special distinction for her research work at Rockefeller University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society.
Dr. Neckman completed her Dermatology Residency at Yale University, where she was Chief Resident.
She has presented nationally on her research efforts studying the tumor microenvironment of skin cancer, and she has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Investigative Dermatology and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women's Dermatologic Society, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Great doctor! I needed a dermatologist in the city who is update to date on new technology and information. Dr. Neckman was amazing and really took the time to work out a skin care plan and address all my concerns. She even took time to look at a burn I've had on my arm for the last 20 years since she knew I hadn't been to the derm in a long time. I will definitely be coming back to her!!

What a fantastic experience! I have seen many dermatologists and none hold a candle to Dr. Neckman. She is patient, warm, thorough and knowledgeable and has a bedside manner like no doctor I have ever seen. I plan to see Dr. Neckman for any and all future skin-related issues. She is the best!

My experience with Dr. Neckman was absolutely wonderful. I see her for body checks and skin cancer treatment. My wife sees her mainly for cosmetics. She is extremely personable with excellent bedside manner. My wife looks younger, but you cannot tell exactly what she did, which is perfect.
