Dr. Giri J. Peterson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He was raised by military parents and has extensive travel throughout the world. Dr. Peterson has dedicated the last 20 years helping the underprivileged, and low-income individuals and families. He has worked with numerous Nonprofits providing counseling and has worked in collaboration with the Department of Family and Children Services (Child Protective Services). Dr. Peterson has appeared on several Radio Talk Shows and Printed News Publications giving professional insight to some of our countries most tragic moments; especially in our school systems. Since then Dr. Peterson has specialized in Anger Management (Children & Adults) and has facilitated numerous seminars throughout the East Coast.
Dr. Peterson earned his B.S. in Psychology from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and his M.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland located in College Park, Maryland. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He currently serves on numerous Boards throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
His life dedicated work is to help individuals through any life changing situations or circumstances, while providing the necessary assistance throughout our communities. It is his personal view that the mind, body, and soul all work together to ensure that we are living to our true potential of having life and having it more abundantly.
Dr. Peterson is married and has two children.
