Psychotherapist
GA
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 12 years of experience in the mental health field. My approach to working with clients is compassionate, understanding, and solution-oriented. Over the years, I have supported teens, adults, women's and men's issues, LGBTQ matters, ADHD, and addictions. I look forward to working with you to navigate and overcome whatever life challenges you may face. My therapeutic experience includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassionate and Solution-Focused approaches, DBT, Person-Centered Therapy, and expertise in addictions. However, I recognize that each client's needs are unique, so I collaborate closely with clients to identify their specific goals and desires for therapy. Throughout my career, I have provided compassionate care to individuals, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, marital difficulties, academic and work stress, anger management, and substance abuse. My communication style is nurturing, empathetic, and validating, creating a safe and secure environment where clients feel understood and comfortable sharing their personal challenges. My goal is for each client to leave sessions feeling hopeful and empowered to overcome whatever concerns they face. My journey to mental healthcare began with a personal connection to mental health struggles within my family and my own experience with anxiety as a teen. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and raising three children, I pursued my passion for helping others by obtaining a Master's in Community Counseling from Argosy University. The past 12 years have been incredibly rewarding, and I feel fortunate to work with each and every client.
