Dr. Justin Weiner is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine; he did his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Weiner was involved in student government while at NYCOM and helped to pilot problem-based learning for the faculty. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel. He completed his pulmonary/critical care fellowship at Northwell-Manhasset/LIJ hospitals. In his last year there, he was also chief fellow. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care. He has been an Instructor at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He continues to work with and teach the pulmonary fellows at his institutions. Dr. Weiner has presented at an American Thoracic Society Conference. He has been an instructor for the American College of Chest Physicians critical care ultrasound courses in the past. He has published in such journals as Resuscitation, the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia. Dr. Weiner has two young children and a loving wife (Carla) who is also an endocrinologist.
