Dr. Zlatanic has been very thorough in checking my illness which had baffled many other doctors I went to. He was able to give me a conclusive diagnose, and that has helped me to get better gradually. He is also very nice, always patiently explains whatever question I had. Although a couple of times my phone calls were not picked up by his office staff, they did call me whenever they receive a new lab report. Also, by using Zocdoc, I have been able to manage my appointments conveniently without having to call. His office did have all the updates I entered on Zocdoc. I strongly recommend Dr. Zlatanic.

I have visited Dr. Zlatanic in his other office twice before. I wouldn’t go to any other doctor. He is kind, personable and most importantly, respectful. I would highly recommend him.

Jusuf Zlatanic, M.D. is a board certified Gastroenterologist. Dr. Zlatanic completed his medical education at the University of Belgrade in former Yugoslavia. He completed both his internship and residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. He pursued additional subspecialty training and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology with High Honors at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Zlatanic passed his board the same year and became a Diplomate in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Zlatanic has been in private practice ever since he completed his fellowship training. He has published more than 10 scientific articles in internationally recognized medical journals and has performed more than 15,000 different types of endoscopic procedures.
Dr. Zlatanic is actively involved in the teaching program at Lenox Hill Hospital and has a special interest in teaching new gastroenterologists.

Regrets but after checking every possible portal, I was advised that they do not accept my insurance. Seems anything off the "exchange" is not accepted by most physicians. So much for the Obama care..

Overall I think Dr. Zlatanic is great. He answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns. I was scared to get an endoscopy because I am scare of being put to sleep, but Dr. Zlatanic was patient and explained to my why it was important for me to do it.
As for the staff, they are unorganized. I call and call and they just put me on hold and they are no help. Its hard to get in contact with Dr Zlatanic, and Im not sure if its because his staff are not passing on the messages, or I dont know. It took me about 2 months to get a phone call back from him. I just think the front desk needs to be more organized.
Other than that, the Doctor is great.

This is by far the worst Gastro Dr. I've ever seen. He did an endoscopy found there was Gastritis and took specimens from my stomach for culture. He sent the specimens to the lab without specifying what to do with them intentionally so it would get thrown out. Instead of just plain telling me he wasn't goanna do a culture.. Hasn't made contact with me since and his staff is disorganized and billed the wrong insurance therefore leaving me with the bill for the endoscopy. Even when I call multiple times to to rectify they do nothing. Save your self the mishap.

The doctor himself was thorough and professional. The front office staff; however, was very unorganized and it took over 45 mins for me to be seen. They were not welcoming for a new patient. Dr Z. I would recommend, but good luck with that terrible front office staff.

This was my first time visiting Dr Zlatanic and I would definitely recommend him. He was very nice and patient while I tried explaining my symptoms. Dr Zlatanic also had a great sense of humor for a 7AM appointment. By the end of the appointment, I had a prescription, two other appointments booked, and an immediate ultrasound scheduled for me right after. I left feeling taken care of and less nervous than when I walked in.

I have seen this doctor before and have been very pleased. However, after today, I'm not sure I would go back. I went during a lunch break and inquired as soon as I got there whether the doctor was on schedule. I was told yes. A half hour later I had still not been seen and was VERY RUDELY informed that there were still two patients before me. I understand doctors run behind schedule and that some cases take longer than expected. I will however, never understand or be okay with being treated rudely or being lied to. Be honest with your patients and let them make the determination of whether or not they can wait. Just like you they have busy work schedules and deserve to be treated respectfully. I not only lost out on that lunch hour, but traveled 45 minutes for nothing, and am now tasked with finding a new doctor to help me with what is going on.
This is no reflection on the doctor, but on a few of his staff.

Not a doctor if you are concerned about your health status and future life expectancy. The doctor didn't spend time at all providing me explanation for the serious condition we found during an endoscopy. Don't take a chance with your health: find a serious professional, as I did.
The administrative staff/secretary were very rude too.
Definitely a place to avoid.
