Doctor was professional, kind, and concerned! Receptionist was also nice and polite.
She was direct and a good listener and sought to assist me with my problem.
Very nice person and empathetic. The office is nice and easy to find.
It was as expected. I asked & received answers to the questions I had.
Very thorough. Pleasant and detailed in her assessment of my needs.
Dr. Mattam seemed very knowledgeable and the visit went very well.
Very kind and professional doctor would highly recommend her ..

Rude. Condescending. Won't listen to the patient. Constantly interrupting. No empathy for the patient. I would not recommend to anyone.
Rude and condescending
It was ok!
Degrading, rude and accusatory. I only went to one appointment for anxiety and she had me waiting for over an hour, whereafter she showed me horrible bedside manner. Left her office crying more than I had in years and feeling more anxiety than ever. Will never return.
I had been on two different meds for about 4 years and one other for 7 years. She completely dismissed the 7 year med and said it counteracted with a 4yr one. She didn't listen when I said I didn't want to change them or stop one of them. She also changed the others despite the fact that my previous dr I had before I moved across the country said NOT to change it no matter what bc it took so long to find something that worked. The changes had awful effects on me, which she also ignored. She also made several rude comments on my appearance physically, which was rude and jarring. I found someone much better after six months for these reasons plus the fact that she talks to patients for less than five minutes which doesn't allow her the ability to gauge how you are and what may need adjusting. She is condescending and thinks she is the only one with worthy input because of her degree and script pad. It seems she rather have patients continuously coming back rather than managing issues and getting better. I will say the girl at the front desk is incredibly patient, efficient, and nice to converse with, but unfortunately I cannot say the same for Dr. Mattam.
I really liked her. While she was very professional and knowledgeable, she also displayed compassion and understanding. So glad to have found her.

She’s the best!
I want to say something awesome. But I can not. For someone who specializes in Substance Abuse(alcohol) she sure doesn't care. I had 3 different appointments. One to diagnose me and give me medication, the second just to refill it and the 3rd well to tell me she couldn't see me ever again because of ONE slip up, and she did this all within the 5 minutes I was there. She refused to give me the 100 mg medication that I had worked up to for over a month, not even put me down on lower dosages to ween myself off. Just Nope never going to see you again and not going to give you any medication. Unless you want to feel more miserable about your life then I would go . Otherwise find somewhere else.
This doctor should not be in business. She was condescending, not caring or respective. She made my child feel worse about herself. She was traumatized after visiting with this devil. How could one that should be helping people talk to them like she doesn't care. Saying things like "so what" or "who cares" I wouldnt suggest anyone mentally unstable to this shedevil EVER!!
Honest, resourceful and straight. Tough as nails as Inrespect her knowledge and intelligence as well As her perspective. I think she will be helpful in getting me through my issues.
Dr Mattam is my kind of Dr. She is honest, blunt and says it how it is. In my opinion, this is exactly what you need. Sensitive people need not apply but this woman know hers stuff!
Great doctor
She kept asking me what I wanted her to do. Why did it take me so long to make an appointment. I felt like all she wanted was my copay but had no interest in me as a person. She had a very self righteous demeanor of being better than everyone else. Really not sure I'm going to follow ip with her. Made my anxiety 100x worse and have horrified friends with my experience.
Awful experience. We waited in the waiting room for 11/2 hours, listening to the Dr. yelling at someone in her pffice. When she finally emerged and it was our turn, she was rude and very unpleasant. Horrible experiwncw. Now I know why she had qppts avilabke sooner than any other dr!
The first visit was nice. This time she seemed a little off. But she was quick and to the point and I was able to get what I needed. She is also reasonable $$$ unlike others I have tried that do the same.
I really love Dr.Jyothi! She is really nice & caring. The office staff is really friendly and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room.
Met all my expectations and more
Very thorough doctor who has her patient's interests at heart. Consult was a bit long, but that was to be expected being an initial consult. It's a small practice with a very nice doctor and I plan on following up with her.
I think she can help me!!
I'm concerned that she was unable to understand what I was trying to say and that lead to a situation where she was unable to accurately figure out what was going on. I would not return to this doctor. A miscommunication and a short (20 min tops) first exam, along with her assumptions about me based on the answers to the questionnaire, should NOT have been the basis for a (very serious) RX. Everything about my visit was off-putting. I will not be returning to this doctor.
She seems nice enough but I could barely understand anything she said because of her heavy east Indian accent. Others seemed to understand her better, so I know it's me. Still, this part made it difficult for me to relate to her. The wait time was long, but I still had to fill out all those initial papers (over 30 minutes of paperwork).
She is very understanding of your problems and will do the most to help you out with medications you need. She is very well versed in different medications and if you know what works best for you she will help you in every way to prescribe what you need. Awesome psychiatrist definitely recommend!!!
Do not bother to fill out your forms on zocdoc. They don't accept them at the office. The Dr seemed very educated, non judgemental, but prefers to start at lower doses of meds and then to increase. I've had other doctors that moved faster with changes, but she made very valid arguments against that method that all seemed to be for the patient's safety. She was easy to understand and I'm not good with accents, so I wouldn't worry about that. I will definitely be back, but save yourself the effort and fill out the paperwork in person and arrive 15+ minutes early for it.
Very nice doctor - good first visit.
Great feedback, conversation, and analysis! Overall, great experience... ZocDoc medical data not transferred so lots of redundant paperwork at the office, but at least only has to be done once.
She listened carefully and was very warm.
Great!
My visit was helpful.
Great! Dr Mattam has helped me a lot w/ my anxiety/depression and has always given good advice about increasing or decreasing medications. She listens to what I have to say and then tells me her proff opinion. This is not always the case w/ doctors I've seen in the past.
Normal visit.
Very good appointment
