The doctor saw me right away, on top of that i think hes really nice and got straight to the point as in what i need to be doing to make sure that i have the best experience ever . A BIG PLUS was that he has a 24 hour telephone line that he can be contacted at if i have any worries or concerns .

Kamran Ghodsian, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. is the OBGYN Orange County trusts. Dr. Ghodsian has been practicing medicine for more than 35 years and is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a result of his many decades of practice, Dr. Ghodsian is an expert in obstetrics, gynecology and all methods and options of birth control including birth control after pregnancy. Dr. Ghodsian is also an expert in the latest procedure, Essure as a form of permanent birth control.
Lovingly referred to as 'Dr. G' by his patients and staff, his goal is to provide the highest level of care to his patients at all times. To achieve that goal, Dr. Ghodsian has been a lifelong learner, keeping up with the latest advances in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and bringing them to his patients and their families.
In addition to his work in private practice, Dr. Ghodsian serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is affiliated with a number of hospitals in Orange County, including the Children's Hospital of Orange County at Mission and Saint Josephs Hospital in Orange.

I found his education to be outdated and questionable, and his demeanor condescending. He made several statements that my former GYN doctors would be appalled by. The only reason why I visited this doctor was because my insurance changed.

One of my friends recommend Dr. Ghodsian to me, but my experience with him was rather disappointing!
1) Waiting time:
My appointment was at 2:30. The doctor came late and they ask me to stay in the lobby. Even the door of the office was closed and I couldn't stay inside. Anyways, I came back after 15 mins and there were 2 clients before me (even though my appointment was earlier than them, they didn't send me in before them!)
So I waited for 2 hours that they finally called me to get in! They didn't give me any gown or robe, just a small sheet which didn't cover my bottom! Instead, I used my jacket for my back! The place was cold and again even though I went inside first the doctor check another client who came after me! So, I waited for more 20 minutes in cold room without any proper gown!
2) The Doctor:
I usually don't like going to a gynecologist, so just waiting for 2:30 hours made me more angry and nervous, so I was hoping maybe the doctor can help me but he was tired of having a long day and didn't have that much of smile either!
3) Examination:
Anyways, he did usual check up with speculum wich wasn't really comfortable. None of the previous gynos that I had used a speculum and the doctor didn't help that much to decrease the discomfort.
It was one of my worst experiences with doctors (not just gyno) and unfortunately I don't think if I go there ever again!

The waiting is not clean and very noisy. The parking in front of the office is difficult. They overbook patients sometimes. Therefore, even though I am 20 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment, I will still need to wait for more than 30 minutes and they only let me in when I tell them I won't stay waiting. Not satisfied. Appointment date is 06/09 at 10:30.

Let me start by saying I LOVE ZOCDOC!
My appointment was rescheduled an entire week after I booked it for. I waited in a full waiting room for an hour with lots of screaming children crying and eating. The front staff was lovely. Got brought back and the nurse was great and fast. I almost left after going to the restroom. There are cups of URINE in the restroom. Not covered sample cups but, like drinking cups with no cover full of urine a small table. After another HOUR alone half naked I met Dr.Ghodsian. I brought in my old prescription bottles to show him so I could get refill. ( I have been taking it for 8 years) He didn't know the medication (that is very popular- tv comerical popular). Instead on a recommendation for another drug he just cut my prescription from 60 pills a month to 10 with no refills. I understand him wanting to be cautious but making up a dosage made me a bit nervous when he admitted he didn't know what it was.
I should have left after seeing open containers of urine in a public area. Unless, that is a common practice I just haven't encountered before. I still love ZOCDOC.

He's a really nice doctor, and he really takes his time with his patients. It may be too much time though because it backs up his other patients waiting to see him. I waited an hour and a half this time. It averages 1-1 1/2 hours to wait to be seen. It's very frustrating to have a 10am appt and not be seen until 11:30am. I might as well come in at 11:30am. I'm sure he means well, but there needs to be improvement with their time management.

Not personal at all, took forever to actually see him, and at one appointment he even calculated that I was 3 weeks later than I was so that I could take blood but I knew I wasn't. I asked the nurses to please double check and even the ultrasound tech checked and saw that I was right. Wasn't pleased with any of my visits.

To be honest. At first I was skeptical. But when I got there the office staff were so friendly and helpful. The nurse was super nice both her and the doctor were thourough and I felt like I was the ony patient there. I would highly recommend this office as well as the doctor

Experienced, staff thinks very highly of him and delivered their babies with him. Did not take family health history, which may not be part if a first visit, but it surprised me. My mom has had breast cancer, diabetes, heart disease, thyroid disorder, a stroke and survived all these...heck, yeah, I have some concerns about having a healthy pregnancy! I'm sure after bloodwork comes back we will deal with my issues, if I have them.

This was my first visit with Dr. Ghodsian. His staff is incredible. I thank ZocDoc for being able to inform me of all my decisions before going in to see him. Since I was moved from NYC, it made just one less thing to worry about. Dr. G. is amazing. He answers any questions and made me feel comfortable about my baby!
