Dr. Pete is board certified in Urology and joins us after many years of providing urologic care for
the full spectrum of urologic disease, both benign and malignant.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. He thereafter received his medical education from the Duke University School of Medicine.
He spent most of his career in North Carolina where he worked at WakeMed and served as
Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Urology at the University of North Carolina
Chapel-Hill. At UNC-CH he was involved in the training of Urology residents.
His clinical interests encompasses the full spectrum of general urology including kidney stone
disease/endourology, minimal invasive treatment of BPH, prostate disease, hypogonadism,
cancer of the bladder, testes, penis, kidney and prostate and blood in the urine. He also enjoys
offering vasectomy.
Dr. Pete completed two years of General Surgery training at the University of California San
Francisco-East Bay, followed by his Urology training at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Pete has presented several lectures on Men’s Health issues, overactive bladder and prostate
cancer.
He was appointed by the Governor of NC and served for two years as a member of the
important North Carolina State Health Coordination Council.
He is recognized by his patients for his compassion, and attention to detail. He takes pride in
establishing excellent physician-patient relationships, ensuring always that his patients
understand their medical condition and participate fully in medical decision making.
He strives to be an honest, effective communicator.
Outside the office Dr Pete enjoys attending church, deep sea fishing, readings biographies, and
viewing sporting events.
